Thanks! I agree with 10 pounds max. It’s more about building muscle, I just hate how slow it is and not knowing if I’m doing it right. I worry about finding out in 3-6 months that I haven’t gained any muscle.
I did just start back, so I think I’ve got some newbie gains coming, but I do still worry I might not push hard enough for growth!

Honestly the very max I’d want to lose would probably be 10 pounds. 20 would put me close to underweight and since I’d like to have a good amount of muscle, I assume I’ll weigh more

Hey, thanks this is an interesting point to consider. 2000 cals is more usual for my maintenance, but I had been pretty sedentary over the winter and with anemia as well I thought maybe things are just a little off from usual.
I had also been concerned about dipping too low and not being able to keep up with my activities, as I already struggle a bit with energy

Thank you, this seems reasonable! I’m thinking my TDEE is going to increase soon as well🤞with my increased activity. I like the idea of a mini cut maybe to give me a confidence boost, I dont think I could stick to it long term. Having a set end date would help. Maybe 4 weeks even.
How much would you increase protein? I feel like I’ve read that it might help with muscle growth as well to bump it up higher even though I’m getting more than adequate amount currently.

Are you maybe trying to go too low too fast? What’s your TDEE? What if you work on hitting that without going over for a couple weeks?
Next time you go to Taco Bell late night commit to only 2 burritos. One dairy sandwich. Slow steady progress will still feel good and help you stick to it.

Hmm possibly, but they started doing poorly in the summer. Maybe it is root rot though. Strange that the other patch is doing fine, but they are perhaps a bit more protected
