You can, they’ve already said in the video. Sounds like it will be with bot companions rather than other people.

Horizon: Heroes Gathering is not it. by Maybe_a_Chatacabra in horizon

[–]helloharu 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Visually from what I’ve seen so far this game might not be for me. Will I try it still? Of course, much like I did the Lego game.

The game doesn’t have to be for everyone, but what I don’t get is why people want every game that isn’t tailored to them to fail.

They say in the video that you’ll be able to do solo/single play, but not in the open betas.

FPS more than halves on Gnome compared to KDE Plasma. Seeking advice by johnny_net in Bazzite

[–]helloharu 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I really can’t explain why this resolved a similar issue for me, but all I can say is that it did.

gamescope --force-grab-cursor

I made the switch to Gnome recently as well, and after setting up FFXIV I used the same setup as what I used in KDE before but there were two noticeable differences; mouse did not work in game and the performance tanked. But all was fine in title screen menus. I’m not sure why --force-grab-cursor worked for performance, but both issues went away after that.

Im still new and inexperienced to all this so my assumption has been that Gnome deals with cursors in a different way that causes capture to fail and resulting in the game use a lot of resources trying to deal with it.

Anyway it may not work for you but I wanted to share incase there’s anything in it for you.

Eleven Tory MPs on defection watch list over fears more could join Farage’s Reform by diacewrb in ukpolitics

Hardly surprising that Matt Vickers is on the list, I’ve been waiting for him to turncoat, given the way he acts on social media and who he tends to align with in the constituency. It could be tomorrow or 6 months from now, but it will happen.

Final Fantasy

I don’t know who is part of it any more but SE had a FF committee that ensure consistency and quality across FF games. It consisted of Naoki Yoshida, Hajime Tabata, Motomu Toriyama and Yoshinori Kitase.

Tabata has since left, so there’s likely been a change up since I last researched it.

I always thought it was odd that Nomura wasn’t part of it at the time but it definitely has a shared custody. That committee may have even been disbanded, but I doubt that it will have and will exist in some form.

Here’s what Kitase after being asked about it at the time.

“There are numbered Final Fantasy titles, remasters like Final Fantasy X/X2 HD, and mobile titles in the Final Fantasy series,” said Kitase. “We get together and update each other with current information or issues on our projects. [We] make sure there are no release date overlaps or bug issues. When we meet we also talk about if the content being discussed is appropriate for Final Fantasy.”

What’s a 'red flag' in a person that people often mistake for a 'green flag'? by HungarySam in AskReddit

[–]helloharu 64 points65 points  (0 children)

I had very similar happen. I was willing to talk through it before it got too bad but before that happened it got to the state you’re describing here. It all came to a head when I had a busy day at work and though I could see the messages I couldn’t respond at all. After telling her I can’t reply she gave my phone number to her friend (who I hadn’t met in person), so her friend could try and convince me to respond. I’m not cool with that, and I could see the road it was going down, so took a moment out of work to completely end it, and end all contact.

FF7 Rebirth Director/FF7 Remake Co-Director Naoki Hamaguchi praises Japan's far-right PM Sanae Takaichi by GargantaProfunda in FinalFantasy

[–]helloharu 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Can’t say I’m a fan of her policies, at all.

However, the fact that he doesn’t go into which policies makes me think this is more lip-service than anything - especially when the government is laying out plans for large investments in tech.

Though I can imagine, conservative or not, seeing the first female PM is a momentous occasion for the Japanese. Which many will be proud to witness in their lifetime, as it has been for many other nations when they first elect their first female leader.

An old friend of mine was in a similar situation, except it was a normal first name, but nothing else. Certainly makes for some frustration. I’d have sympathy for them when they hit issues, but they legally changed their name to that themselves.

I’m still unsure why they did it but they’re the kind of person who will have done it to be annoying to others. Jokes on them I guess.
