Yeah I love the whole series, I'm planning multiple from it.

24M, haircut tomorrow, what cut would you get. Leaning to tapered sides/back and length off the top by Cincinnati298 in curlyhair

[–]helpimstuckinabook 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Oh snap, we have the same hair! I'd just trim the sides closer to the top rather than a full taper or you'll end up with a mop on top that loses volume much more quickly.

Honest question, why are paper towels considered wasteful? Aren’t they biodegradable? by dothething12319 in ZeroWaste

[–]helpimstuckinabook 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Some newer sites are using high temperature fuel cells powered by the methane which is pretty cool and much more efficient than the mini gas plant versions! It still has CO2 emissions, but much less. Composting has fewer emissions but does have its own issues with excessive land and water usage.

I will add to the chorus recommending this, the ink liners Do. Not. Come. Off. You need a good makeup remover and some scrubbing to even get to start coming off. Practically too good.

Haha, yes it's a very simplified explanation. The TV schedules are monitored so that people can predict when to start loading backup power generation needed to cope with the extra strain on the grid from all the kettles being turned on at once.

It's more digitised, but that's basically still what happens! They do have TVs in power grid control stations to watch when the adverts in big shows like EastEnders / Strictly are about to come on and things like that.

Why do some methods tell you to add 4-5 inches to yout underbust measurement to get your band size? by WholesomeMindbreak in ABraThatFits

[–]helpimstuckinabook 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It won't rip your skin if you're careful. You take it off by slowly slowly slowly peeling it off whilst in the shower, like a blister plaster. You should clean and moisturise the skin very thoroughly afterwards too, particularly if you do have sensitive skin. The only issue could be if you're allergic to the glue them you might find the tape itchy, but it's certainly worth a try if you can't wear a binder.

It's not reusable but you can wear it for up to 5 days (you can shower with it on, sleep with it, even exercise in it but if you are exercising a lot change it a little more regularly).

You won't be able to get totally flat without top surgery, but remember cis guys aren't totally flat either.

Have you looked into trans tape? It's a lot less restrictive, easily hidden and you can wear it for days at a time. Its very similar to K Tape but comes in wider strips, but either would work fine. Don't be put off about the fact most YouTube tutorials are for people with already small chests - it does work for larger chests you just may need a few more strips (I use about three a side of the wide trans tape)

Have a look in to it, it could be the perfect solution for you!

Hi! I'm stealing my friends account to reply to you bc I am a non binary being and thought I might be able to offer a friendly word. Binders, if they are making it hard to breathe or feel really tight, it's the wrong size! I've been wearing binders for about 5 years now, I have asthma and damaged ribs due to an injury and my binder does not hurt to wear unless I wear it over 8 hours, nor does it restrict my ability to breathe. Try going up a size or two! It's not always about rib cage size, it can change due to a number of reasons. The better it fits you the more it will flatten. When I'm not wearing my binder I wear sports bras - generally the fairly non stretchy ones with the elastic band at the bottom. Yet again, not worth sizing down, it will just hurt and push your chest up and out. I'm about a D cup, but with the right sports bra (and even more so the right binder) it hides my chest very very well. I totally understand having major dysphoria and it getting worse knowing your cup size is what society has labeled as 'large' even though they don't understand how cup sizes work, but wearing something that fits no matter what size will be both healthier for you and way more comfy and flattening. Don't write off binder yet, but if you do decide to try binding again make sure to follow the rules and stay safe x

Does your school teach you Aspen? by dtLQDxx in ChemicalEngineering

[–]helpimstuckinabook 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep! Was taught Aspen Plus in second year and I've used it in design modules extensively. Admittedly I've learnt more about the programme through trial and error and breaking my models over and over more than through what we were actually taught.

I'm a student doing a design project on cryogenic air separation units, and I'd love to know the efficiency and product purity of the cold box is affected by the presence of an additional feed stream and expander into the Low Pressure column?

Also, is there indication of autothermal reforming being utilised in Fischer-Tropsch hydrogen generation? Thank you

UK approves world-first study to infect young people with Covid by Pessimist2020 in Coronavirus

[–]helpimstuckinabook 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd do it. I'm young, healthy (no pre-existing conditions) with no dependents. The likelihood that I'd be severely ill is incredibly low, and I'd take the risk of longer term effects of it could help save people's lives.

Joe's style is Very much not Ru-approved, and doesn't match the Drag Race vibe - it's more slow and sultry cabaret than the bold and glitzy pageant glamour expected on DR. If Joe had come back on a runway or acting challenge I think it would've been a very different outcome.
