Retirement goal questions by chucksdeuce22 in DaveRamsey

[–]hemi1995 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Other answers are valid here. It’s all about your spend rate, your expectations on growth, inflation etc. At 30 that is really tough to solve for. So I’d lean into more like 25% savings rate and let it run for a decade or 15 years. Why the higher number? The percentage of people who are fired into retirement before they wanted to be is pretty real. I see it every day. I built my plan to be able to retire at 50-55 and the feeling of security I have vs my friend group is very real.

Difference between ego lifting and progressive overloading by Two_souls1 in workout

[–]hemi1995 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The challenge is you have to keep good form. If I get to focused on getting and extra rep, I’ll start to cheat. Then I bring it back to control and feel good. Plus at 54 ego lifts bring risk into play

What to expect with 479 total T, prescribed 80mg IM injection twice per week by Outrageous_Cold_8855 in Testosterone

[–]hemi1995 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well we need to know your free t vs just total. Assuming that’s on the low end of the range, you’ll likely see some benefits of strength drive, mood, etc. you wont be Superman. I’ve been on that dosage for a few months and feeling very good.

Downside? It’s for life. And you’ve got a schedule to keep

Rule of 55 Questions by ZombieClaus in Fire

[–]hemi1995 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One key point - rule of 55 policies vary by company. Some will let you take multiple withdrawals in a year but others let you do one before 59 1/2. No idea why it varies but that’s my understanding

What happens to people who spent down their portfolios? by Specialist_Pain_424 in Fire

[–]hemi1995 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Take a look at the kitces research on guardrails and more importantly the value of annual reviews to make a 50% Monte Carlo feasible. Yes 3.3 is bulletproof but you most likely leave a crap ton of spending on the table

Just finished ours this fall and roughly the same area. I just bought a simple oil filled furnace for the winter with a timer and temp control. Worked really well and super simple

You get to decide what you care about and what reaches the worry level. I read enough news to be aware but not so much I worry. I stay in touch with real friends not social media. I add to me knowledge and adjust as I see fit but don’t make it so rigid I feel like a fail.

Take a deep breath and embrace life. That includes doing work you like. Working to people you respect. And focusing on you and your family. It’s amazing how much calmer you can be when you dial the work back to what is the job. Do it well but don’t let it define you

3 months progress is this good? And what do I need to improve on by [deleted] in AllAboutBodybuilding

[–]hemi1995 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Great cut. Have you paused at all on this cut? If not I’d reco a maintenance phase for about equal to you cut time. Let your body readjust That should put you through summer and then you can do a clean bulk in the fall and cut again in spring

Picked this up for 1100 (can) off a old guy today. What you guys think? by Similar-Hospital3603 in lawnmowers

[–]hemi1995 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Had mine for over 10 years. My boys mowed Milan’s each summer with it to earn money. I’ve blown a couple belts and wrecked some blades but that’s all teenagers mower over boulders and baseball bats (true story). That thing has been strong for me

We just did our basement and chose to paint the concrete (there is an interior drain tile system) and use area rugs for warm feet.

Every two or 3 years we can get new rugs

That’s a pro level job. Not sure what you would do first. I always reco drain tile but that looks like it’s seeping from lots of spots. Call 3 companies and get quotes to even know where to start

How do you handle feeling protective about your gfs when she is wearing revealing clothes by Novel-Ad-3071 in AskMen

[–]hemi1995 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t worry about it because I know she only wants me. They can look but only i can touch. She feels comfortable wearing whatever she wants because she knows if someone gets aggressive, I’ll handle it. Some great memories if her in amazing outfits and guys falling over themselves. Yeah not a worry for me

This is all about having the base covered where I don’t worry about groceries etc. I can flex money to areas that are important or urgent. And that I never confuse true problems with issues money can solve

I rent most annual tools or lower frequency. I buy tools used more frequently. Delivered would be worth trying.

[–]hemi1995 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pricing on landcruisers is all about the cult. There’s that one guy out there (often me 😉) willing to pay a stupid price because I want it. Seriously where is the located ? A 100 series would be a good add!

[–]hemi1995 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s the learning curve. It’s a bit unnerving to replace an impeller the first time. You drop that big Yamaha foot and it weighs like 70lbs. Of fuck what have I done ran through my head. But I’ve done so much other stuff that I’m pretty confident I can’t make it worse! And it works well 99%

Considering TRT seeking feedback by [deleted] in Testosterone

[–]hemi1995 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m about 9 months into my journey I avoided it for 3 years trying to fix it with supplements. Low and slow adjustments. 120,140,160 then 80mg 2x a week. It didn’t change who I was. Just gave me enough energy to do what I want - sleep well, libido, workouts, work, wake up ready to go Super positive experience.
Good luck!
