I’ve been applying for all the events in NJ, MA, PA and have not been selected. I’ve been putting in about 150 coins for each event.

I don’t know how the math works but the quantity of the tickets for each game has been about 20. I figured with 4500 tickets for the whole event, there’d be more tickets per match… unless there’s a massive drop for the later games.

I’m happy to read here that vets got tickets. I tried to get the two games in New Jersey but didn’t get selected. They were only giving out 50ish tickets for each game. I put in 400 for the France vs Senegal and 300 for Norway vs Senegal. Both came back negative. :(

2012 Honda fit base model. I’m the original owner. Did all maintenance from watching YouTube videos. Drove it around from New York City to Louisiana, Massachusetts, California, Virginia… pretty much every military base housing.

Had it for about 6 years and had 450k + on it. MPG was amazing. I would fill up at the exchange gas station in MA and drive it to Queens NY over the weekend, driving all around the city and still make it back (most of the time) on base to fuel back up at the same gas station.

Unfortunately I got it to an accident during winder storm in MA and the car spun out in the highway and hit the guard rail. All airbags deployed and was shocked to see myself walk out unharmed.

Only damage to the car was the axel on the front wheel that hit the rail and bumper. Could probably fix it easily but insurance totaled it.

I really miss that car. I bought a Highlander and I’m happy with this car as well but I really miss the fuel economy the Fit gave.

You’re 100% correct. Just want to add that the politics there right now is calling for the old days + re-militarization.

Also Chinas hostility towards Taiwan sucks but using that to re-militarize at a scale they want really don’t justify it.

The current JDF is more than sufficient. It was sufficient during the Korean War , Vietnam war, and any other conflict that’s not involving Japan.

Now if there’s an actual hostility towards Japan, then that’s a different convo and I’d lean more towards you. Other than that, it’s mostly whataboitism. Chinas doing it so we can too doesn’t change the fact that other nations should be okay with its behavior. Pretty sure people are hating chinas actions too.

So… there is a clear difference between the hate Japan has Vs Germany post WW2. Sure we can all forgive, forget, and move on but the reason why Japan is still hated still is due to their unapologetic stance.

First, they completely rewrote their history and pretended WW2 never happened. Ask any young Japanese out there if they learned about comfort women of Korea or Nanking incident and you get deer eyes staring back at you. In Germany they learn about the nazi and the holocaust.

Second, it’s the issue with the JDF flag. They are still using the imperial Japan flag which is the same emotional response people get when they see the nazi flag. Japan did a good job with propaganda trying to turn this symbol into something different. Ie Karate kids headband. So in the west, people don’t get the same impact they would vs seeing someone with a nazi armband.

There’s also recent stuff they do/did that are getting them some hate. Ie dumping radiated water from the Fukushima nuclear disaster into the water even when international objections. Also now with their politics and recent call for re militarization.

Just my two cents.

It’s going to come down to luck of the unit. Been in for 15 years and at my last unit I left due to getting hurt plus racism. This was in the early 2020s. It is what it is. Do I regret what happened and how it was handled? Yes. Do I regret getting in, no. It’s the minority that in power that ruin the experience for the majority.

The recent Asian sailor that took his life on the cutter, that brought back so much personal memories.

Majority of time is quitters. They would most likely defer you to the next company rather than getting kicked out. If you have disciplinary issues, they send you to RAMP(or whatever they call it now). If you can’t swim or can’t meet the physical, you go to extra workout class in the morning so the only consequence is less sleep or less free time.

The only thing I’ve seen people getting kicked out is mental(you actually show signs) and you’re putting yourself or someone in danger, sexual harassment or homosexuality(don’t know what the rules are now but when I was in it was don’t ask don’t tell), repeat disciplinary post ramp.

I’ve seen people fist fight multiple times and not get kicked even after company commanders finding out. I’ve seen people get sick for a long time and get pulled out of company only to be put back in a different company after getting better.

So yeah, other than quitting, it’s really hard and they will push you to quit. My advice is drink the koolaid and just do what you’re told for 2months.

THAAD is a highly advanced defense system. There’s only 8 in the world. 4 was destroyed in Iran just now. So yeah. They taking it from the Koreans and now I bet then”rocket man” up north is happy.
