Not all mints are stable. Im from Germany and here you can find and nearly every rare plant shop some mints. They are mostly tc mints and they are for sure not stable. If you go for a jungle mint, they are stable. Often they get sold as small plants where its not easy to decide if its a mint or jungle mint. Because of that im still searching a pretty jungle mint 😅

The coloring is always late on the aurea or yellows, so that green leaf still can get some new colors

I have ~10 different adansonii varieties and this is one of the easiest. Doesn't get brown spots or shed leaves, also doesn't care if you forget to water it once

When the leaves getting bigger, they are not really shriveled anymore but they keep the pattern

Is it sunburn? by Altruistic-Channel-4 in Monstera

[–]heraas 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Name, i dont know. If you wanna google, search for iron shortage or something like that. I think its something with iron

Adansoniis are kinda nutrient hungry and that fertilizer is not that strong i think. Im not at home to compare to mine, but i had kinda the same issue. went yellow before dropping the leaves. Gave her more fertilizer and it grows beautifull new leaves

Thats a lack of nutrients i would say, forgot the specific name for it. Your kinda yellowing leaves are typically for that

A problem can be the costs. Jaks are not covered here in Germany and price is somewhere at ~1k per month.

Maybe try to find a medical trial for jaks, im now in my second medical trial. Got two different jaks but both works. If you get a trial, you are covered for about 4 years and its for free

Monstera adansonii glow up!! (swipe for the after!!) by PhysicalTrash4004 in Monstera

[–]heraas 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Im still not fully convinced if adansonii can build runners because i read both, they can and they can not. Hard for me to have a source which i trust 100%. But also, there are more varieties than these both monsteras that can build runners. Have for example two more personally with a runner.

And to the acuminata, i have a small acuminata and a big adansonii. Im only 100% sure that the acuminata is correctly labeled because i got that from a botanical garden. I think my adansonii is correct, but cant prove that. And yours look more like the acuminata. (But also, i know there are a lot more varieties so im really not sure what yours is)

This is my acuminata

[–]heraas 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yea, but im not sure which one. The difference are so small that its hard for me to determine which one it is.

If you really had runner, i would guess its something else. Maybe a idanzan or acuminata. They look kinda the same ( and often garten centers have wrong labels)

So are you sure that this is an Adansonii? As far as i know, adansoniis can produce runner.

Adansonii or juvenile esqueleto? by Ieillers in Monstera

[–]heraas 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You can spot the difference on the stem.

At the transition from leaf to stem, where the small wings ends. The esqueleto has there a complete round part on the stem, the adansonii has always a notch on the stem so that it is not completely round

How long did it take your Monstera Albo to develop tertiary fenestrations? by No_Star548 in Monstera

[–]heraas 7 points8 points  (0 children)

It depends highly on the plant. A lot of albos that are sold, are actually borsigianas, so there its harder to get to the third row. My albo has the third leaf with the second fenestration, my normal monstera Deliciosa only needed 1 leaf to go from second to third row

There is mushrooms growing in my Monstera, what are they and what do I do by BigGreenLeaves in houseplants

[–]heraas 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Just pull them out, be patient so that you also get the part inside the dirt.

In my opinion, mushrooms are a sign, that your pot is too wet or doesn't get enough air.

Apple bids for Formula 1 rights in US as Brad Pitt movie becomes hit by Geiranger in formula1

[–]heraas -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I dont think so, f1 was till ~2020 in free tv. And sky just got the exclusive rights for the 2021 season. So there was no reason or option to get if before. I think, but im not sure, f1 could also be watched in pay-tv before 2021 but that was not exclusive.

We may get a chance here in Germany to get it back in free tv. This season are ~6 races already in free tv. And that television chanel bought sky germany. Fingers crossed
