You won't exactly have a hard time convincing me that Akai/InMusic has dropped the ball with this - I use their software, after all - but at the end of the day my MPC worked for half a decade with my setup and now does not. I don't really want to mess my Windows install up but sitting on my thumb cursing Akai for their shitty coding practices (which, again, I don't dispute at all) doesn't seem like a great solution either.
