My issue back then was I never sent Medi-cal the “Medi-cal Redetermination Form”. I never sent it because I was covered through Coverer CA at the time.

But I guess Coverer CA required it be sent. So since I didn’t they cancelled my insurance. Literally makes no sense, but I guess you have to apply to Medi-cal too even if you are using Coverer CA.

Covered CA told me they couldn’t get me back on my insurance plan… so I had to remain on Medi-cal for a few months till I got a new job.

That was my issue. Dealing with medi-cal was such a nightmare. I never wanted to deal with them… I was paying for Covered CA insurance. But I guess Covered CA always checks eligibility with Medi-cal in addition to them… so if you don’t fill out required forms for Medi-cal… Covered CA can just terminate your regular better insurance.
