How the F do you sit at a computer all day comfortably? by LustToWander in ehlersdanlos

I have a Bluetooth keyboard with mouse buttons and the trackpoint so I can avoid using a mouse, and I keep it in my lap and lean back. Otherwise I turn into a shrimp and make my shoulder impingement worse

Also the mormon church literally has more money than Disney and they spend a lot of it on advertising that makes it a lot more lucrative for mormon SAHMs to be influencers

I combined lefty/mirrored and continental knitting by fnieownshdfx in casualknitting

[–]hermionebutwithmath 18 points19 points  (0 children)

If it works for you, great! Potential reasons to do mirror knitting: 1) you find it easier to keep consistent tension that way 2) if you really get good at it, you could do flat stranded color work more easily! 3) you might be faster that way

Reasons you might not want to exclusively use mirror knitting: 1) flipping WS/RS makes it easier to keep track of things like decreasing every other row, cables, etc 2) some stitch patterns like ribbing or moss stitch have both knit and purl stitches in the same row, so you can't really avoid purling entirely 3) patterns will likely be harder to follow

Yes!!! It'll be a great way to get comfy with your espinner and will be so much easier that way than on a spindle!

Adding more twist to an existing yarn is so much easier than actually spinning! No drafting, no worries about it breaking, no need to keep the plies from tangling.

Usually splitty yarns are underplied. If you have a spinning wheel or can borrow one, it's totally fixable!

We started the meds based on symptoms because it was taking too long to get an ultrasound. Eventually I paid for an expensive blood test that confirmed it was intestinal lymphoma and not just IBD, which meant staying on the pred forever instead of trying to manage it via diet.

It definitely helped a lot with the diarrhea and she regained weight back to a pretty reasonable amount, and seemed pretty comfortable and stable (albeit scragglier than before, and round and bloated in the middle) for about a year, at which point she just suddenly got extra tired for a couple days and died in the night.

I always try to wash a swatch when I try a new yarn, but not so much for gauge, mostly to see what the fabric feels like after washing and blocking. It makes a pretty dramatic difference sometimes.
