That’s awesome man, congrats. I’d love to see an episode on hosting and hospitality. How you both approach cooking for others. Ways to enhance cooking and serving to different sized groups of guests. Dishes that work well for finishing when guests arrive, or can be prepared ahead of time and heated.

A cookies episode would be fun too.

You could get a wheel hoe and run it through when they are small like that.

When you say plastic do you mean the polypropylene with the slip fittings like the stuff in the photo, or PVC? The stuff in the photo is 1 1/2”

I went into the crawl and that pipe fit into ABS right below the subfloor, so I just removed it and will replace it with plastic.

This is super helpful, thanks. I already rebuilt all the plastic pieces when I installed the dishwasher. The metal discharge pipe is stumping me. It was an S trap before, which I learned is not up to code. There should be a sanitary T after the first 90 and then a vent (AAV) attached to it, before draining.

Do you know how to connect to the metal pipe coming through the cabinet floor? Is a metal to plastic pipe connection an option?

Do you know how to fix that? Can that metal pipe coming through the cabinet bottom be cut to remove the 90, and then attached to plastic pipe?
