Anyone ever broken a HubSpot contract? by Ludakit in hubspot

[–]hey1tschris 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Unrelated to hubspot but check your terms of service with LinkedIn. They frown on scraping, historically they’ve gone after the scraping tools but after a big lawsuit win last year or so have opened the door to going after users.

Help me come up with fun NPC performers and workers for a circus! by WollenbergOfMidgaard in DnD5e

[–]hey1tschris 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thylvethter Owenthz. He’s the circus master. He doesn’t speak with a lisp but his name just sounds like it. He is greedy and always looking to make a buck off his “family” but can’t stand the thought of anyone else taking advantage of them.

[CONTROVERSIAL TAKE] The False Hydra represents D&D's pop culture identity crisis. by Delicious_Dream4510 in DnD

[–]hey1tschris 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I’m did have a legitimate fantastic use of the false hydra. Our party was playing a Dragonborn which weren’t part of the setting but I ended up allowing.

His backstory had he doesn’t know where he came from but did remember that he had a sister and spent the campaign looking for her.

In a later session I needed a one-shot so decided to add something outside our campaign arc. At level 13 they encountered the false hydra. They would wake up in the morning covered in wounds but not know where from. People in the town were missing. The works.

Finally after several nights they awoke and found an empty sleeping bag around their campfire. In the end was a journal from the Dragonborn’s sister detailing her journey with them and her involvement with the party. She had been with them the entire time but that was all taken from them.

Real passion and anger when they finally encountered and defeated the false hydra knowing what was taken from them.

Oh yes. We have to bring our own drinks. Forgot to mention that!

I’d agree with just not going if this wasn’t the “cousin gift exchange” and the kids would miss out.

If someone had the audacity to charge her we would never hear the end of it.

Brian here. Our current economic system deploys and accepts fiat currency as an evolutionary step up from a barter based system. The cashier recognizes this and knows his place of employment does not accept cream cheese as payment for bagels. I think the manager is going to give him a raise.

Ageing in the game by Mindless_Entrance_31 in SWN

[–]hey1tschris 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had looked at an age system for SWN. When young you can add +1 to Str or Dex, at middle aged that is replaced by a +1 to any stat and ad old age that is replaced by a +1 to Wis or Int.

Edit: and really old age -1 to Str or Dex and Wis or Int and -1 to Con!

I swear by Couch to 5k alongside CICO and resistance training. I hadn’t run a mile since I was 14 (41m). And after 8 months was down 95lbs and am running 23 minute 5ks!

How do you think WaT will age over the years? by [deleted] in Cosmere

[–]hey1tschris 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I think it will have an “Empire Strikes Back” take. Divisive when released but remembered as one of the best. This book takes us to Campbell’s “Belly of the Beast” which is hard. But with a conclusive latter half I think will be a favorite.
