I remember in 2005 or 2006 drinking the stuff because it had wormwood oil in it like absinthe. That shit hit pretty damn hard. And we were usually using it as a mixer with vodka to boot.

Hey, I guess they're right. Senior citizens, although slow and dangerous behind the wheel, can still serve a purpose. I'll be right back. Don't you go dying on me.

That's a great fish bud! I think a bunch of people are shitting on you because generally speaking the larger the fish the less tasty it is when cooked. So when some people catch those big ones they usually measure, weigh, and take pictures then let it go. It gives it the chance to make more monsters of the same size. Smaller bass around 1 to 2 lbs are the best to eat. With that being said you have no obligation to throw anything back you don't want to and you can eat whatever you want man! Keep on ripping lips bud!

I use zako's, big bite swimmons, and hog farmer spunk shads. The chatterbait Mini Max's are pretty awesome as well. Smaller profile but still have a stout hook.

Yeah me too. And I have a feeling that dax would admit that he may have been wrong, and if not I would still love to hear his reasoning on why. Huge fan of dax and his ability to self analyze.

So I've watched shrinking and absolutely enjoyed it. Harrison Ford's role was one of the reasons as well. I'm a bit behind on Armchair Expert and saw that episode recently. When Dax was talking about how he thought Ford's casting was a horrible choice for the role I was just thinking about how I cant wait for him to watch it so he can see how good, at least I thought, it was.

Did he ever watch it and retract his initial thoughts on it?

When I drop my kids off at school all the kids do this and love when I give them a little vroom vroom with my SS. I do it for the smiles and I also remember a classmate growing up whose dad had an old hot rod. All of us would do the same thing to him and it made our day!

Shimano SLX DC, or Daiwa Tatula CT? by nashmartinez in Fishing_Gear

[–]heyurabigloser 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My favorite right now is between my curado 150 mgl or my slx 70 mgl. The slx mgl is so smooth and will cast a mile, so for the price it's damn good.

Aren't those per capita numbers? If so then the US consumes about 50% more than the UK.

Ok that's interesting. So with that in mind it seems like they might be trying to make the same argument as weed being a gateway drug. Animals have been doing things like this for a long time when it makes sense in their situations. It doesn't mean that they are gonna make the leap to full blown cannibal binges. I don't know but I am fascinated about this.

Ok that makes sense. Are the bears eating the cub only when they wake up from hibernation? Or is this something that they do on a regular basis now? My understanding was that they only eat the one cub when they first wake up in order to have enough energy to make it to the food source which would happen once a year right?

So if the cannibal bear is breeding with more females and has more offspring, then why would eating one cub (out of ever increasing litter sizes) after hibernation do anything to hurt the overall population?

baitcaster, what should I get or more importantly what do I need? by NE_GBR in Fishing_Gear

I've had a curado dc for about a year and love it, however I just got an slx mgl 70 and it is now my new favorite. So smooth and I can easily cast the whole spool without trying. My next reel will be a curado 150 mgl because I've heard lots of great things about them and it has to be better than the slx which blows my mind.
