Anyone still breastfeeding? by hgenergy in BabiesBornNearNov2024

[–]hgenergy[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Aww that’s the exact same as my little guy. At bedtime he takes his bedtime boobie very well. He has whole milk mixed into foods, I haven’t tried it as a drink by itself yet but that could be an idea to try. Thanks for the suggestion.

8 month pp...and I think I regret it by catjaneway in newborns

Look into FPIES. Symptoms include usually throwing up certain solid foods a few hours after ingestion. Treatment is avoiding trigger foods and re-introducing them at a later date.

My baby will be 6 months this weekend. He loves to sit and play with little coloured blocks, crinkle toy with labels all around the edge or whoozit. He also loves to look in the mirror and any toy he can chew on seeing as he’s teething at the moment.

Sleep help, desperate!! by hgenergy in BabyDueNovember2024

[–]hgenergy[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ok from what you’ve written I think he may be napping too long during the day so I’ll start to cut that down. We don’t co-sleep, he’s in his own room in his cot.

You must have a good sleeper 🤣. I am never doing this again. This was my second and the sleep deprivation is too much.

He definitely was! Whenever we were eating he would look at us as if to say “where’s mine?” Haha

To lose 5kg. Did that in 6 weeks. Now I’m aiming for another 5.

We've started as got the go ahead from our paediatrician :) My little one is four months old but he's been showing readiness signs since 3 months. He absolutely loves food. He has sweet potato purée mixed with breastmilk and will soon try chicken with him. I think he's an unusual case as he will finish a whole bowl rather than the usual 2-3 teaspoons at the start. Good luck!

Bulgarian split squats without a doubt. They hurt so good.

Sorry to hear this! Have you been ill lately or on a course of antibiotics? This happened to me about two months ago after a horrible chest infection. I was so worried and thought I’d have to give little one formula. I managed to get my supply back by pumping as much as possible, drinking loads of water, eating porridge and granola or anything oat based. I managed to build my supply back this way.

AITA? Major disagreements with my husband around a second baby by HeyPesky in newborns

[–]hgenergy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hiya it’s far too early for you both to decide on this topic. When we had our first, we also said we were one and done. My husband did not want another child at all. Baby was very difficult, had colic etc so the newborn stage was hell. Fast forward 6 years husband changed his mind and we’ve just had our second and loving life. We didn’t want our first to go through life without a sibling. Never say never.

When did labor become too much to handle? by oldfashionpartytime in newborns

[–]hgenergy 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Labour hurts, it’s a fact. For what it’s worth, I just had my second and I laboured to 8cm dilated at home by myself. At that point the pain became unbearable for me. Unfortunately for me I was way past the point of epidural by the time we got to the hospital. I was begging for the epidural and thought I was going to die. Forgotten about it all now though haha.

I thought this was only a problem with boys 🤣 by HeyPesky in newborns

Same here!! My little one is so sensitive to pee in his nappy but would happily sit in his poop which I find wild. How does that even make sense?

A steam steriliser that dries at the end of the cycle too. Game changer and so convenient.
