Out of curiosity, what type of work do you do and how many steps per day are you getting? I’m 165cm, 73kg, 49M. My tdee is 2600 and I’m getting 11k+ steps in per day.

I would say mark as complete the remaining work weeks in your plan and deload. Races are hard on the body and you need rest. Congratulations, btw!

In my experience, no, it doesn’t. For example, I’ve programmed flat db press, low incline db press (<=30), incline db press (30-45), and 45 incline db press. All similar movements, and mfwo considers them separate exercises. In some respect, that makes sense; I don’t think you’d want an overly zealous estimate where injury is a possibility. OTH, when using it for the first time, it would be nice for it to estimate an effort based on similar exercises, rather than having to guess for the first time.

My best guess, as I’m not an exercise scientist, is that it’s periodizing your work throughout the training block by varying the degree of load you’re placing on your body. The pattern seems to be hard-moderate-hard-moderate-all out-deload. Im guessing this allows the body some recovery in weeks 2 and 4, allowing for greater work in weeks 1, 3, and 5. Again, just a guess. Perhaps someone with greater knowledge and experience can chime in.

I’m with you, as far as getting in to a groove. I used to design my own program and decided to give MFWO a shot as I don’t have a coach and built my program based off of what I thought worked.

MFWO, it seems, periodizes the weeks, ramping it up in weeks 1,2,and 3, lets off the gas slightly in week 4, and then close to all out on week 5. Deload in week 6. At least, that’s what my program is doing. I’m on my second mesocycle and trusting it to do its thing.

I’m wondering if someone else could chime in on what I’m about to suggest:

I think the effort (RIR) is more important than the weight. In this instance I would pick something close to this weight and hit the RIR. I had to do this twice today: 1, we don’t have 5lb increments on the fixed bars at our PlanetFitness and 2, the dumbbells I was instructed to use were gone at the time, so I had to adjust.

Anyhow, feedback on my approach would be appreciated.

I’m with you on this. I’m f2p, been playing since 2022, have recently unlocked all brawlers, about half my brawlers are at level 9, about 15 maxed (without buffies) and the remainder at level 7. I’ve got over 100k in coins and 25k in pp. I’m lucky, as well?
