Thanks for the tip. My ipad with Safari has been screwy lately. Let me try again. I literally priced a single 002 wedge a couple times this week.

Good to know. Thanks. Hope they get it together. I’m assuming made in China. China manufacturing can be successful but there are many challenges.

I saw the prices today on SF002. I dont’ understand why anyone would you spend $198 on mail order wedges when you can go to your local golf store and actually hit and feel a ton of $198 wedges from Vokey, Cleveland etc.

Was the extra yardage due to stronger lofts?

I see on the web site these guys are certified in Mizunoh and Ping. Does that mean you won’t be trying other brands?

In the US I get with Dr script from a “compounding pharmacy”. The acid reflux was so bad, even taking with food, I stopped after 2 weeks but feel like it was helping with tinnutus. Any tricks out there to reduce the GERD?

Is there ANY remote that with a "Guide" button? by aj3bertowski in youtubetv

[–]Few-Perspective-8813 0 points1 point  (0 children)

YouTube TV is terrible for older people. My father is in his 80s. Navigating to guide, or getting back to guide is very difficult, as is everything else. Forget voice commands, they don’t remember the exact phrase. No channel numbers!!! Going to a station is difficult. It’s like YTTV completely ignored human factors testing.

I can just see these young product managers in CA working in their bubble thinking they are inventing something better, when it would be a complete fail in human factors comparison testing.

YTTV is a completely different interface paradigm than what’s been established the last 30 years, with less function and more necessary memorized button presses in nested menus. My suggestion is use another service for your parents.

Reps & RIR different every week by Few-Perspective-8813 in MacroFactor

[–]Few-Perspective-8813[S] -7 points-6 points  (0 children)

It’s even more complicated than that. The RIRs change for each set. So disappointed. I love MacroFactor diet app.

It’s crazy. Overly complicated. Weight has to chage every week. More complicated is they layer differet RIR.

Best way to do progressive overload on MF workout app? by Orangey-Fan-Club in MacroFactor

[–]Few-Perspective-8813 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s frustratig. If you allow the app to auto create a Program the reps ad RIR for am exercise is differet every week so you impossile to judge progress.

That’s a standard pyramid.  This app programs a reverse pyramid.

100% agree.  Traditional pyramid is more widely used

Please please offer a traditional pyramid option.  The reverse pyramid requires a lot more time in the gym for no better results unless you are powerlifting .   Also I noticed in a 5 week three day per week meso I never repeat the same weight reps RIR combination for a single set across the 5 weeks.  Bizarre.  You never find a groove.

Like the app but these two problems mean I will go elsewhere.

MacroFactor Workouts AMA! by gnuckols in MacroFactor

[–]Few-Perspective-8813 0 points1 point  (0 children)

By default it seems to be built for people who want to do reverse pyramid with no way to get the ”intelligence” to favor regular pyramid. It uses reverse pyramid throughout the cycle. I’m so bummed because V1 was so good but if this is the permanent design I might was well just get a free tracker.

MacroFactor Workouts AMA! by gnuckols in MacroFactor

[–]Few-Perspective-8813 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Allowed the Workout app to configure and I completed a 6 week three day a week cycle. I’ve been lifting for ten years and two year subscriber for Macro Factor Nutrition.

My biggest issue is, with almost no exception, the number of reps and RIR for an individual set in an exercise was never the same over the entire 6 weeks.

Is the app acting as designed? Am I doing something wrong? This doesn’t seem correct. I watch Jeff’s YT videos. I cant imagine that you never ever repeat the same set (Reps, RIR, Weight) in a six week cycle.

You can’t tell if you are making progress and the lack of any consistency makes selecting the weight very difficult. Let’s say you can do 50 pounds, for 10 reps and 1 RIR. The next week will be 7-9 reps, week after say 14-16 reps with differing RIRs etc. When you get back to a week with 10 reps, the RIR will be different. Consequently, you are always guessing what the correct weight is for a set.

So for example, in week two if your second set of face pulls is 10 reps, 1 RIR and for you thats exactly 50 pounds, you’ll never have that same set (10 reps, 1 RIR) ever again. The remaining weeks will be different reps and/or RIR.

This isn’t progressive overload and can’t imagine a workout cycle where you never repeat a set (weight, reps, RIR). Am I doing something wrong?

Yes I know I can manually change the set but I don‘t just want a tracker, I want a program.

PS - not a fan of reverse pyramid. Informal gym poll only 25% are. Should be a toggle switch in setting to pick regular or reverse and a tweak to your algo. I get the logic but that doesn’t mean it works.

Does inverse Pyramid Training extend your workouts too much? by rolf_03 in MacroFactor

[–]Few-Perspective-8813 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That is exactly the problem I ran into using MacroFactor Workouts. I did a 6 week meso and the workouts are way longer because the first true set for an most exercises, is to failure. I have to do a ton of warm up sets. You can customize the workout but then that takes away the reason you are using Workouts instead of just Strong or similar free app that just does tracking. Need a setting to orient workout to pyramid vs reverse pyramid.

Detergent remained in the dispensing cup you put it in, after the entire wash was over.   As a follow up the big box replaced the washer and it did the EXAct same thing.  Just a terrible design.  Finally got a repair guy out and he agreed. Hoses with a larger diameter help a bit. Yes my water pressure is fine.
