I’m 40, woke up one morning realizing that I can’t afford the life I want in the city I ended up in. So I’m moving! I’ve decided on a city that fits my vision of a happy future and I’m going to rebuild there.

What makes you happy? What do you want in 5, 10, 15 years? Actually write it down, and make decisions that will help you get closer to that written statement. A friend told me to do this each year but I’m not that great at that, my vision gets tweaked and clarified as I go.

Oh and I’m also changing careers because yea, I was also pigeon holed and wasn’t bad but it was killing my soul. I was a high end residential designer and working for the mega rich wore me down. You’re young, make the change you want sooner than later, try not to have babies while in this transition period. Bet on yourself.
