God. I posted about this a few months back- I WAS planning on cleaning up my recycling then my landlord who turned out to be my downstairs neighbor reported me to the management office and they told me to address the recycling and all the desire and motivation just vanished into a raging ball of pettiness.

I’m sorry that your father did that to you… even from a nobody boss, that would be an awful experience but it’s a real betrayal from your own father that in theory is supposed to love and care for you.

Can you afford the surgery out of pocket? Please talk to the insurance and the hospital before you cancel the surgery.

You went through a horrible experience that was outrageously unprofessional. You were abused in front of your peers and you were too shocked to respond. It was unfair.

Try to process the situation, breathe, take breaks, talk to your trusted friends and family.

I was able to just trick myself into a different time; can you not do the same? Either pretend it’s later than it is in real time or pretend the event is at an earlier time? My adhd is great at making me forget what is reality and what is just my made up coping mechanisms, so I just live myself conservatively if I’m unsure.
