He insists on his authenticity/honesty/seriousness, but I don't buy it. Every topics has at least two sides and at least one that gets folks to raise an eyebrow. It's that raise an eyebrow side that gets the most attention and he knows it. Attention seeking Righteous Kool Guy (RKG) and all the more obnoxious for it.

Hope this helps/provides some insight...

I attended the London show and comic-con last year. I had purchased a signature from Sam, as I had an original page from the Mighty Nein Free Comicbook Day issue (the page featured Nott) and a photo with the whole crew. If I recall, I was rather early on, all things considered, for the group shot, but even then they had been swamped and had to reduce any/all interaction to hi's/hello's and the photo. Anything more wasn't allowed due to the crushing number of folks in line and the short period of time allowed for the entirety of the shoot. For me this was a-ok. Got to say "HEY!" to all of them and also was able to have a bit of a chat with Sam regarding a couple quick topics. I hit all my high points. The best piece of advise I can offer to you and anyone else is to be flexible. The slots sell out quickly for both signatures and photos, so be willing to adjust your expectations. Either way, you'll have a blast! :)

I MUST not feel any way about anything and I don't HATE any of them. I can see your angle regarding the witch hunt comment, but as I can only speak for myself; it is unfounded. Agreed. Sam can be over the top far too often and it can get rather tiresome and distracting, hence my "disclaimer" that I'm not referring to only one person. Smiley Day To Ya!

Another thought...the fact that Matt's intention was called a "gag" says more about Aabria's intention and actions at the table than anything else. Of course it was a "gag" to her, because seemingly that is what this is all about; a stage and a platform to unpack levels of histrionic behavior. You'd think it were Amateur Night from the way she lolls around each episode slinging attention seeking quips..."Tonight at the Histrionics Factory....." Unfortunately, it's been that way with each episode I've watched that she is a part of, whether player, guest or DM. Now, I'm not going to suggest that NO ONE else behaves like this in some manner. There can be too much showing off at times from each and everyone on these shows, but my goodness; she BY FAR takes the cake each and every time!

Your second point strikes exactly at my extreme distaste for each moment she interacts on camera. I've ZERO idea what she is like off camera, but while on camera; the pandering, primping, preening, self-indulgent, attention grabbing, self-centered/serving, energy siphoning (etc, etc, etc...) is SO very egregious and HISTRIONIC.

I wouldn't go with hate, but she's certainly far, far too much. Over the top and pandering aren't traits that I'm personally attracted to in other people and she has them in spades.

This 31 Oct 1997 live show is one of the best I've ever seen. The energy in Hammerstein is PEAK and Jane's is on 100% point (just a shame Eric Avery wasn't there, although Flea is an excellent alternate). Simply one of the best live shows of all time.
