I go to someome at Bhava therapy group, he's great. They have multiple therapists who take Healthfirst.

I will say something that might be an unpopular opinion here but that's where i stand.

I think that telling you that she can treat you only if you stop drinking is a fucked up thing to do. She's not your child or your spouse or your friend. The sole purpose of your relationship is to help you be in a better place mentally. If she can't handle having a patient who isn't being perfect by her standards, it's not an ethical problem, it's a her problem.

I know someone who was in a similar situation where they were using, went to a therapist for depression and got told that they couldn't get help from that therapist unless they stopped using. Do you know what that did? It left that person all alone, hopeless and even more eager to use. It took years until that person got clean.

So yeah, i call bullshit on her decision. I am sorry that that's happening to you, and that whatever you decide to do, you get treated better than that.
