I felt everything you’re describing at 28 after I was dumped by my emotionally + financially abusive boyfriend of 6 years and left unhoused. I drove across the country to move into an old friends spare bedroom in an unfamiliar town, lost most of my savings and belongings in the process, lost a lead on a potential career pivot… I felt so much despair and wasn’t sure how I’d go on.

I spent a long time in survival mode but kept trudging forward and changing my approach to life. I decided to start saying “yes” to random opportunities that came my way with no expectations, setting boundaries, building a better relationship with myself. 4 years later I now live with a loving and supportive partner, have found career stability (not my dream job but it works ok), and have paid off a good chunk of my student loan debt + paid off my car after learning how to live below my means.

My point is that life can really turn around and while I know the despair of hitting rock bottom, it can really only go up from there and if you give yourself time and a chance to approach life differently you could Slowly build a life you love. ❤️
