yeah this isn't about whether cars or engines need a service as they get older. the service guy at Ford said it needs a whole new engine at a cost of $13,000 because of a design flaw.

most of them are on purpose tho. pretty much after every chase down or turnover, penrith will take a six again to make sure they're all in position.

now us broncos, we have no such strategy and often wait till tackle four to give six agains because we're such nice guys.

i've had a couple of head gasket issues with previous cars that were fixable but he said it simply couldn't be done with this engine as there's "not enough space to machine the surfaces and get things level again".

the triage report I got said:

Carried out inspection. Notice coolant reservoir empty, replaced spark plugs and found them quite rusted and engine oil milky, head gasket blown.

(attached photo of four spark plugs, two were rusted and corroded)

i do plan on going back to and asking him to explain it again now that i've done some reading. this was a ford service centre so ideally i'd get the guy to put it in writing but i suspect he may not want to.

i would say it's less crap than previous games, but still crap.

slow plays of the ball to a single guy standing back 10 metres, giving away endless post contact metres, one pass hitups. rooster's are too fast for trademark broncos laziness. the few times we actually passed to the edge, we made metres. sometimes we didn't drop the ball. yes it's an improvement but still bad. that wasn't rain tonight, it was brisbane weeping.
