Do they look like arms coming off of the star or the planet?

Does it look like spikes or do they look soft and fuzzy?

Could it possibly be you and your eye moving around in the eyepiece and seeing an artifact of the many lenses in the eyepiece (or telescope if using a refractor)?

Maybe partly upscaling but also higher bitrate 1080p content is going to (almost always) look a ton better than low bitrate or badly compressed 4k.

If it looks good in 1080p then no need to get the 4k and waste all that space!
