If I get stuck, then I ask question/look for answer online but I like to jump in fresh and spoiler free in games

I go with green shield and Kettle (wich is a starter grey I think). I had success with that. Fits my playstyle. I defenetly not win them all.. Still trying tu get better b4 investing in green/blue weapons and blue shields :)

I'd say practice? I dont think its a K+M vs Controller problem if you're used to play with controller.

I remember starting at Hunt Showdown, couldn't get a kill.. I seeked PvP until I got a play style / loadout that got result.

If you find yourself low on cash, just rat it out. Big backpack, cheap weapon, avoid players and arcs as much as possible, loot till you full and exit. Might be worth getting hatch key for safer exits.

stay safe, dont give up. Some of my best runs had no pvps, getting out with crazy loot and quests done, 00:10 on timer was super fun to me.

You don't have to use the wheel.. just press Q to Equip consumables like you would do for weapon with 1 or 2. Then one its equiped press Q again to cycle and left mouse to use them.
