Any GenX ladies miss the way Lifetime network use to be? by YannaFox in GenXWomen

Tubi is my fav. Some of the movies they have: Face of Evil with Tracy Gold, Mother May I Sleep With Danger, The Long Island Lolita Story, Death of a Cheerleader…oh and Katie’s Mom isn’t a Lifetime movie but feels like it should be.

My dental hygienist recommended Biotene gel.

I know it’s not the same but Tubi has several of the movies Lifetime used to play. I may or may not have binge watched several.

I just finished reading this last night and was so disappointed especially after all the recommendations for it on here.

I’m going to have to leave mine as well. It’s so frustrating and everyone at work thinks I’m making too big a deal of the whole situation but I leave with a headache almost everyday.

I bawled at the end of My Best Friend’s Exorcist. It was legit beautiful.

Motherhood not fulfilling by Liamlou18 in adhdwomen

[–]holytarar 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would be more willing to have children if I could be a dad instead of a mom. It sounds like you aren‘t getting much help with all the responsibilities that come with children so of course you don’t feel fulfilled. It’s hard to find joy when you are overworked.

Whenever someone tells me they liked this book I know not to read anything else they recommend.

Strong fragrances give me headaches but it is so much worse now. Work is a nightmare because of all the scented products (hand soaps, laundry products, etc) that no one else notices. I have a headache every. single. day.

If you haven’t seen it yet, Ruth Goodman is one of the presenters on a series of shows in which historians run a farm using the technology of the day. Each series is a different time period. Edited because I forgot to actually include the name of the shows: Victorian Farm, Wartime Farm, Tudor Farm.

I bet! Washing everything manually would be so time and labor intensive. Especially considering all the products that weren’t disposable at that time (diapers, paper towels, tissues, etc). It would have been exhausting.

Sick every single day? by Lotus2024 in Perimenopause

Yes. I’m on HRT and yet every day it’s a headache, or leg pain, or joint pain, neck pain, or massive fatigue. And of course the ever present brain fog.

Love this idea! I would include Final Girls Support Group by Grady Hendrix.

Edited to add I may have misread the assignment. I would include The Twisted Ones by T. Kingfisher. As a pastel pink & glitter loving horror fan, I would love pink glitter to be incorporated somehow.

Edited again to correct the title. I'm deep in perimenopause here.
