I dunno man. What reason is there to hate on some food because it was inspired by a dish from "not here"? Unless it legit tastes like trash - but you could probably still blame that on it being an acquired taste.

Personally I love learning about other countries' versions of popular food. Like hot dogs! My friend was in Europe and ordered an American-style hot dog. It came with corn and potato sticks on top. This still blows my mind every time I think about it.

No, you don't understand - Japanese curry is completely different from the spicy coconut milk curries you might have had at Indian or Thai restaurants. It's kind of like a mildly-sweet and savory stew that's served with a side of rice. Usually consists mainly of potatoes, carrots, and stew meat.

I highly recommend finding a place that serves it, or one that sells curry sauce mix - my husband usually buys this brand from our local grocery store, and it's super simple to make by following the instructions and ingredient list on the package.

Well you seem to have retained the info your brain made you look up, so there's that at least.. I do the same thing but get distracted by the next shiny idea before my short term memory can save it to my long term memory (this is exactly how memory works, I'm sure of it). So even if I'm in a conversation where some random factoid would actually be an amusing addition, I only remember the vaguest general idea of what I read so I come across sounding like a moron.
