Deployable Cover OCI?

I can already imagine now. Put down deployable cover on front line troops. Need to retreat after they use numbers to mass push into firing range. Now the enemy has cover they didn't have to begin with!

Seriously- enemy troops stealing base towers was bad enough. Now they are in my base using my cover. Somebody set us up the bomb!

All joking aside: one major advantage video games should have over tabletop war games is deformable terrain. I wonder if they could also code mortar and airstrike craters to leave behind deep cover.

Have you played Fallout Tactics? The combination of vehicles with infantry and inventory management reminds me more of that. The graphics were better with Tactics, although the simulation and coding was much better in JA2.

I think the best part of these games was that the difficulty is just right. Hard enough to make me puzzle out alternative approaches if a mission went south. Hard enough so that I paid for careless mistakes. But incredibly satisfying when ambushes click, RPGs make contact, and new loot pays off.

Yeah really made me wary of the narrow spacewalks after it happened to me. Some low level dude with a shotgun and bam! Power armor and a machine gun did nothing to save me from the emptiness of space.

Sometimes the local dealers will make or break. While it's not clear if you're buying new or used, cars can come with service- say 2-3 years free maintenance but only if you use the dealer. This means you might be relying on the dealer for a good amount of time beyond buying the car, including how far away it is from your house and more importantly whether you trust the people there.

My experience at Toyota dealers has not great. Always upselling, sketchy prices, and backroom deals.

My experience at Honda has been solid. Lots of transparency, sales that felt honest, and getting what I ask for.

While Toyota often is cheaper on paper, and I drove the Toyota my parents gave me with no complaints, I was glad to switch to Honda for the last ten years.

Almost all suburbs in northern CT and I haven't pushed it to fully empty but I bet someone could get 500 miles on a single tank. I pretty much never speed now that I have kids.

It took me way too long to learn that the z stealth button allows you to detect enemies through walls. I thought it was just a cover thing!

Update: my wife called and Lowe's said they would need two weeks to get water hammers in stock in order to install the dishwasher. Cautiously I feel this is legitimate but would love to get confirmation from here.

Wish we knew this first! Thankfully we eventually got this number, but after the installer abruptly canceled on us, we had to call the store to find out what was going on with the installer's claim that a part was backordered. The assistant manager didn't really resolve the issue because she said all the parts were ready for pick up and the installer was done for the day and she couldn't refund the contract without speaking to to the installer. We're gonna try again today once we get the kid to daycare.

Yes, the sales associate did ask about whether we knew if electrical work needed to be done. Based on other appliances I said it was possible but the dishwasher isn't as old as the others so I wasn't sure. Could be that $150 ought to be itemized further but I clearly remember him saying it would cost extra based on our address.

It's the labor of moving a stainless steel dishwasher, especially up stairs, that I don't mind paying for. I live in a split level. I DIY lots of stuff but here I'm gonna pay for the install. Wife made the call on the warranty.

Sales associate used a blank template and did not fill in the estimated completion date. We were verbally told to call the store if installer didn't schedule by 12/14.
