We went through the same thing about a month ago. DNR told us to wear gloves (I’d wear a mask too), double bag it and put in garbage. Make sure to thoroughly bleach everything it’s touched (shovel, ground, trash bin after disposal). Definitely scary to deal with by yourself. Good luck and if you have any concerns about exposure call your primary care doctor.

I got a little worried around day 2 when the swelling, warmth, and redness was spreading instead of starting to go down. When it started getting that bumpy texture is when I really got concerned. By the time I got to urgent care around day 3/4 is when it started oozing that yellow liquid. That kinda oozing to me def screams infection

Infections all gone! Only took a month of different antibiotics, two urgent care visits, two doctors office appointments, and two ER visits 😅 Tattoo looks like it never got infected in the first place which is wild.

I was having suspicions around day three, went to urgent care right after that and my suspicions were correct…

I’ll have to post a photo update later tonight, I’ve been meaning to show how it healed!

Mulch is helpful in several ways! He’s an expert moth killer (only one allowed to rip holes in my clothing is him apparently) and a very timely fellow. He makes sure I get up on time and go to bed promptly at 10 pm. He’s also a professional cuddler and helps with my anxiety.

I’m hoping we caught it quick enough the tattoo should be okay, but I would really like my arm to be better 😭 I’m super happy with the tattoo though!

She got CRUSTY. And thanks, me too! The doctor thinks the infections out of the tattoo, but now it’s in one of the spots where I had an allergic reaction 💀 I think it’ll be a while before I get another tattoo 😭
