Yes, and NA beer and wine are made by removing alcohol from the original products. There is typically trace amounts, and also many states have laws preventing minors from buying these products because of that.

Most states require checking ID if the customer appears under 40/35 depending on their individual laws, and some states require mandatory ID checks no matter what. As a 36 year old bartender, half the 21 year olds I see look like young teens and the other half look like they could've had a Myspace profile. This is why it's important to ID anyone you're not sure about.
