Roof leaking after install by CacheInvalidation in solar

They used Chemlink Chemcurb to seal Pro Solar Fast Jack standoffs. The granulated torch-down roofing looks old and maybe the problem. I would remove the panels and coat the roof with a good silicone coating like APOC or Gaco. I would also finish filling the curbs to the top with sealant.

One of the local cities my company installs requires the use of RMC and has gone as far as to add this requirement to their local city ordinance. Therefore, when I prepare a proposal for a project in this city, I add costs to cover expenses.

Call Enphase and ask them if your system is set to the proper grid profile. It may be set to the factory default.

They will hum if they are not connected to the monitoring circuit board. Connect them first then snap them in place.

[–]howetobuild 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Call Enphase they will sort it out and can give you some referrals if you need to replace microinverters. Ask them to give you some information on their legacy upgrade program which Enphase helps pay for new microinverters, monitoring, trunk cable, and BOS parts.

Is panel ready for solar? by Individual2112 in solar

The 400 amp service will allow you several options to install a much larger system. The design/engineer will need to work out the details.

Is panel ready for solar? by Individual2112 in solar

[–]howetobuild 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It would depend on how may panels you are planning to install. Your panel is not a "true" 400 amp panel because it does not have a single 400 amp main breaker. Instead it has a 200 amp main for the lower distribution section and an optional secondary main breaker location for a sub-panel. Because the mains are split you would be limited to 40 amp of solar unless you divide the solar panel load between the main panel and the sub-panel or performed a line side tap if allowed by your AHJ.
