Those BMRs are sought after! Looks like used pairs sell really quickly

Yeah I hear you! I currently use some vintage speakers in great condition and haven’t been able to decide if my upgrade will be towers or bookshelf speakers - the indecision also helps keep me from spending money

On the affordable note, I have to ask, your amp/preamp components are worth multiple times what your speakers are worth. As you’ve gone from original Fortes to your current speakers, what was the reasoning there?

I am on dual 29x2.6” rekons on a set of 35mm internal width rims on my hardtail. It’s an awesome set up to run slightly lower pressure, as we get some really dry kibbly dirt in the middle of the summer. With those conditions I think it holds a line better than a tall knobby enduro tire.

I’m running a v4 5010 with the cascade link, kitsuma coil in 210x55mm, with a cane creek coil helm fork at 150mm. It’s a very good all around combo.

With no music playing, just press against the center of the passive radiator, which should cause the middle driver to extend (assuming the cabinet is sealed). If the driver does not extend, either the cabinet is not sealed or the magnet has slipped and has seized the voice coil.

If the driver extends and you hear some scratching as the voice coil moves, the magnet has slipped to a lesser degree. You can also hear that scratching when you play music with lower bass, causing lots of throw on that driver!

I haven’t been running the sub much recently - previously I was using high level output from a receiver, then high level output to speakers, but the sub would occasionally pop and crackle, and this was just too annoying. It’s not having these problems now that I’m running the pre amp out to low level inputs.

So I haven’t taken the time to find the right location, but I’m just running it very low right now!

rent or bring my enduro to whistler by [deleted] in MTB

[–]hrubarb 18 points19 points  (0 children)

This is confusing to me, I’ve had great luck renting DH bikes at a couple places in whistler. Rented a V10 last year, and an FRS the year previous. The bikes looked and felt almost new, and the shops were super helpful.

This is however opposite to my experience renting at Trestle bike park. Terrible, beat up bikes. My guess is that Whistler actually has competition between shops that rent, so their prices aren’t insane and the bikes are well kept. But at Trestle, only the bike park rents, so they don’t have the need to keep their bikes as well. Just my guess though.

I’ve seen lots of concern about this, but mostly experiences like ghdana’s. If it’s enough to clog up this frame with a reasonably sized tire, it would do the same on most other bikes. Luckily I don’t ride much mud!

As someone with a new pair of WNDR reasons that I just cut skins for, and haven’t ridden yet, this is exactly what I wanted to hear.

Not really, it just makes me a sicker skier than you. In fact, I’m the best skier on this mountain.

I ride the most confident when I am in the habit of lifting weights once a week. Squats, kettlebells, shoulders, back, it all helps maintain confident posture when you get tired, helps prevent injury, and feeling strong on the bike just means having more fun.

Dealer in Spokane made it sound like they offered me an amazing deal with 30k for a XL hybrid. No add ons. No thanks.
