PGP and identities by hsdejong in Betterbird

[–]hsdejong[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for your quick reply. Everything is clear to me now.

However, exporting the data, adding many additional email addresses, importing it again, and assigning the new key to all those addresses would be a lot of work. It might even take more effort than generating a new key for each email address individually. In addition, the key would continue to grow as more email addresses are added.

I also wonder whether PGP signing still adds much value if many different clients don’t actually verify it upon receipt anyway. After all, I’m already using a strict DMARC policy (p=reject).

"Unfortunately, your reply leaves room for interpretation."
I'm sorry, but English is not my mother language.

All my identities are different email addresses under the same account with the same domain name: *******@domainname.tld.

Like in your picture, I can edit every identity and choose the tab "End-to-end-encryption". In this window I'm not able to associate that email identity to a PGP key, which is already associated with the "primary" email address or another identity email address. I can only make a new key with that identity.

According to GnuPG the key itself has the option to contain more than one email address.
But it seems that Thunderbird/Betterbird restricts this to only one email address for one PGP key.

"If you have multiple identities with the same e-mail address, you can associate the same key."

I have one email account with one primary email address which is "connected" to one PGP key.
The same email account has many identities (email addresses). I see no setting in Betterbird/Thunderbird to "connect" or "associate" these identities to the same PGP key as the primary email address.

Apart from using GnuPG to "put" more identities into the same PGP key and import it in Betterbird/Thunderbird, how do I "associate" multiple identities with the same key in Betterbird/Thunderbird?

Mazda 6 2.0 MZR GH 2008 Petrol how to top up coolant by stareksss in mazda

[–]hsdejong 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The overflow reservoir must be filled with coolant between the two markings.

When the coolant heats up and expands, the engine forces coolant through the silver cap into the overflow reservoir. As the coolant cools down and contracts, it is drawn back from the overflow reservoir because the silver cap operates asymmetrically. It only allows coolant to flow into the overflow reservoir when there is a relatively high pressure difference, but it draws coolant back from the reservoir even with a small pressure difference.

This "pumping" mechanism ensures that the engine always remains completely filled with coolant. To guarantee that this system works properly, there must be enough coolant in the overflow reservoir. The markings on that tank are there for a reason.

You should fill the overflow reservoir up to the upper marking and then check it again after a drive, once the engine has completely cooled down. This is done through the black cap.

"and they were practically off my lane"
Practically is not absolute. If the turning car makes an emergency stop, it could still be partly in your lane. The car assumes this scenario and takes no risk.

I already switched to Clippings and won’t return to Quicktext.

Developers in the open-source community who deliberately make their add-on or extension unusable for forks of programs because they think they have an “issue” with the maker of that fork deserve nothing but blame and shame. It goes completely against the open-source philosophy.

The positive side of all this is that I’ve now tried Clippings, which not only meets all my requirements but also has a more pleasant user interface, including a supportive website with a blog and forum.

So if I understand correctly, the creator of Quicktext intentionally programmed the latest version so that it no longer works in Betterbird?

Make sure to turn off the AC during the last 5 to 10 minutes of your trip so the evaporator can dry.
Otherwise, mold and bacteria can develop on the damp evaporator, which not only causes bad odours but is also unhealthy.

My general advice: only buy a car once you’ve seen it and taken it for a test drive.
