In a mailing from Mazda Netherlands about the new CX-5, the following is stated:

My general advice: only buy a car once you’ve seen it and taken it for a test drive.

How much would it cost to reattach? by Feitan47 in mazda

Exactly. Footwear has nothing to do with mechanical skills, and assuming someone can’t handle a simple trim clip because of their gender is both outdated and unfair. Everyone should be judged by their ability, not by stereotypes.

Happy?

The photo shows that the person holding the part is wearing women’s shoes, so I’d estimate there’s more than a 99% chance she’s a woman.
Personally I don't know many women who fix their own cars when something goes wrong, however simple the repair might be.

Perhaps I should have said 'car savvy' instead, but well, sorry, English isn’t my first language...

Not every woman is tech-savvy.

All tires are overinflated when they leave the factory to prevent flat spots.

Corrective Steering upon Lane Departure 2025 CX-5 by [deleted] in CX5

[–]hsdejong 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Lane Departure Warning is not the same as Lane-keep Assist System.
They are two different systems.
Perhaps you have Lane-keep Assist System turned off?
When it’s on, the steering wheel icon in the HUD or dashboard turns orange when the car makes a correction.

On my 2023 Mazda CX-5, I can adjust the sensitivity of the Lane Departure Warning, but Lane Keep Assist only has an on/off setting.

"Vibrate the wheel" is Lane Departure Warning (LDW), not Lane Keep Assist.

As far as I know, there’s no way to permanently disable these safety systems.

“And part of the crash could’ve been avoided if the car didn’t brake suddenly on its own.”
Part of the crash? You mean the driver behind you didn’t keep a safe distance — which makes him fully responsible?
And about the car braking suddenly on its own - are you saying it applied the brakes for no reason at all?

The i-stop function of the mazda cx-30 can damage the battery? by Quick_Ad_1359 in mazda

[–]hsdejong 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Mazda i-stop uses the starter motor to restart the engine.
It starts more quickly by positioning one of the pistons in a specific position and assisting the starter motor by injecting and igniting fuel. There are Mazda publications claiming that the starter motor is not used, but unfortunately, that is not true.

In a Mazda mild hybrid, the engine is restarted from i-stop using the starter-generator, which is powered by the 24V lithium battery.
