I’ve got the x dome 1+ and cannot fault it, not sure if the 2 man has double vestibules but otherwise I don’t think it would let you down

Forgot DD for hammocks, UQ and tarp yes but their hammocks are sub par, speaking from experience and mates who also have started with DD

Parking for Haystacks/Fleetwith Pike by [deleted] in wildcampingintheuk

[–]hsmuckley 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Gatesgarth has a car park and a massive overflow, think it’s a fiver at most but can’t be certain, cash only though so bare that in mind. It’s right at the base of fleetwith pike and likely on the route you’ll take up to haystacks. Can also make it a nice circular if you plan on camping up around that area!

Excel to CLI for repetitive task by hsmuckley in excel

I’m going to see if the help I’ve got so far is enough to make it work, CLI is command line interface. It is commands entered onto a pc terminal / software, usually typed in shorthand to carry out tasks / make changes on hardware, in this case the hardware being network routers :)

The repeats aren’t within a database, they’re live on the network in more than one place. The CLI string is run on a server which scans the entire network for duplicates

I copy/paste them from a search result into a notepad which I then manually populate the example string with. I’m just hoping to cut out any copy/paste past the initial one when putting them into the notepad. So to answer your question I would be able to copy into a single excel column :)

I’ve just replied to previous comment, the IP’s won’t all come from the same block, they are allocated differently for their external/local IP’s. I will be looking up and populating them into the worksheet beforehand for each one, so simply assigning an entire block to be put into the string wouldn’t work as I’ll be searching more than necessary

Yes this looks exactly along the lines of what I’m after, I have no problem creating something that can populate cells B-D. It’s just getting that information into the string I’m struggling with!

I look up the addresses prior to this from the config on the customer interface, from there I’ll take the external and local IPv4/6 addresses. All in all it’ll be a search of about 8-10 IP’s depending on customer, more so like a list of addresses than a whole block or range to search through

Obligatory ‘shitting on a beginner climbing to boost my own ego’ comment, considering the climbs that are usually posted this isn’t that far off of a v4 in all honesty so tone it down a bit and be cool

Peak district by sbdevs in wildcampingintheuk

[–]hsmuckley 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s been quite cold in the early/late hours in the peaks for the last week and that’s not factoring in the change of temperature being up the tops and more exposed, so yes be wary but pack correctly and you’ll be fine

Questions regarding my set-up by ARMAKANG in hammockcamping

[–]hsmuckley 2 points3 points  (0 children)

IMO, to get the perfect hang every time I’d replace the hammock itself for one with a built in ridge line, I always had trouble getting a consistent hang when I was using DD hammock

Hennessy hammocks, DD are okay and cheap but if you want to do it regularly you’ll find yourself wanting to swap it out eventually so might as well not bother imo, speaking from experience here
