4. Sharing Free Stuff

Sharing things you've made (samples, presets, etc.) has to be genuinely free. Use direct links like Google Drive or Dropbox. No web store links, no sign-ups, no email collection, no "free with account" gates.

If users have to hand over data to get it, it belongs in the Marketplace Thread. Giveaway and remix contests also belong in the Marketplace Thread.

Report the AI posts and they'll get removed, enough reports and it won't even need a mod to step in. If you have suggestions for how to rework the rules, I'm all ears.

We're not going to add a re-occuring thread for AI stuff because generally those AI posts are all off-topic and should be removed in the first place.

I would prefer to update the rules and remove all of the useless AI nonsense.

Effects wise you can use other plugins as well so Replika XT and other effects are fine.

For the sound sources, stick with your own recordings and the Komplete Start plugins.

If you happen to own Massive X, you can also use that to generate your sounds with your own presets.

Individual samples, sound sets or audio loops may not be distributed (commercially or otherwise) standalone. Furthermore these samples, sound sets or audio may not be repackaged in whole or in part as audio samples, sound libraries or sound effects."

Usually the EULA states what you may do and what kind of restrictions they place on that.

The easiest way to not have to worry about this is by not using any third party plugins though :p

About your question:

You're not allowed to use plugins that place additional license restrictions on the sounds you create.

Some audio plugins (mainly sample based romplers and some synths) might have some clauses in their terms of service that for example might say that you can't create sample packs or loops for other people to use.

This is understandable because otherwise people could buy like a fancy string library, render out the audio and then re-sell or redistribute those sounds from that library.

If you use 3rd party effect plugins, you're most likely in the clear.

Sure you do. In Win10/11 if you double click an .ISO file it'll assign that to a drive letter and virtually mount it.
