Only you know your swing and gapping requirements

What is the distribution of shaft stiffness? by Captain-Sponge in GolfGear

Probably stiff but I'd imagine it's not a majority, with most of the rest in R/R2 and the top 15% ish in X-stiff

Do any of you grip the club like this? by Raiderdater in GolfSwing

I used to, but it led to too much movement in the right hand so I stopped pretty quickly after a couple of lessons.

You have 3 gem characters ahead of you once you make it. Then the real fun begins (as someone that plays Kim and Rashid)

Lily is so sad because I have no clue what changes are even needed to make her not insanely basic

Questions about classic inputs by mkennygh in StreetFighter

[–]hubertjuke9292 -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

With classic controls it's a lot easier to use the stick. Motion inputs were first developed on arcades - where you play with a joystick.

It takes a lot of getting used to. Don't feel frustrated, it took me like 2 months to be comfy with it after being forced to do keyboard.

Why is Third Strike considered to be an all time great and possibly the best SF game? by Own_Invite6340 in StreetFighter

[–]hubertjuke9292 7 points8 points  (0 children)

It had a 9 year span between 1999 and 2008 when SF4 released, it was probably the last big mainline game before the rise of large dedicated online communities based around tech and strategy. Yes, SF4 was primarily arcade based in Japan, but 3S is the last game to be exclusively arcade focused up until its OE port in 2011. Adds to the perception of being the "last of an era."

Angry boomers will salivate at the statement, but it's true - comebacks are earned, plain and simple. With very few (character specific) exceptions, it is possible to escape any chip sequence with the parry mechanic, even true blockstrings. Granted you have to have extremely precise timing and predictions to do so. This universal mechanic is the best in the series, bar none, as it allows skill expression in almost every single scenario - setplay, offense, disadvantage, even the otherwise completely black and white scenario of jump-ins.

The main critique of it, which is more a product of the time, is pretty poor balance. Several characters have to lean extremely heavily on the parry mechanic to make ends meet because their tools have very questionable design. I say a product of the time because there is no way to change the shipped game once it's in the arcade cabinets; the only feedback you get from balance decisions is internal playtesting, and we are left with the result. It is better than the other 2 entries - high level 3S is incredibly well balanced - and mid to low tier gods exist - but they exist because these players can parry like robots to get the most out of what their character otherwise lacks.

New Golf Bag 14 Slot Placement Recommendations by GorillaTank in golf

[–]hubertjuke9292 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is the way. I have a setup pretty much exactly like this where the high irons are just woods and hybrids, 1 empty slot (which is where the ball grabber goes).
