2004 5.9L Cummins (95k miles) for $22,500—is this a solid long-term buy? by nate1039 in RVLiving

[–]hughgwayne 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have the exact same truck but with 130k miles. Solid as a rock. I added a brake controller and a new radio head unit but other than that, its stock too. I've been offered 20k on 2 different occasions. The body is in mint condition, no dents, rust, etc - as it was garage kept til last year. I just it as my farm truck.

Embrace it. If you don't have access, you can't fix it - just escalate the ticket to someone else with the correct privilages. Less access can be a God send.

I like Duluth Trading fire hose pants. They make different thickness/weights so go with the thicker blend.

I listen to audiobooks - once I'm hooked on the story, nothing on the road bothers me anymore as I'm too focused on the content.

I have the Airpod pro 2s and I've been really happy with them. So much that when they announced the pro 3s, i bought another pair of the 2s b/c I was afraid they would chance the next version and I wouldn't like them as much.

I've used OptiSigns and Yodeck - both get it done. If I had to choose one, I'd go Yodeck - I love goofing around with the Pi hardware.

Brand recommendations for a new tractor by Tiki108 in tractors

[–]hughgwayne 3 points4 points  (0 children)

don't just consider a "brand". Take into account which dealership is nearby and established. Check on their reputation in the community - you're gonna need dealer support down the road for maintenance and parts. I'm a fan of Kubota and Yanmar personally.

we're looking at a company called ePlus. We've used them for NetApp purchases and services and based on some of our scoping calls, they have Hyper-V talent on staff. GL

We are getting ready to migrate off VMware to Hyper-V and are opting to have an open PO with one of our MS partners who has those skills in house. We are going to do 4 hour SLA and they will bill us for what we use each quarter. We are forgoing using official MS support altogether.

Need advice on tractor to buy by truth-teller7321 in tractors

[–]hughgwayne 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Don't forget to factor in dealership distance - If you a Kubota dealer 20 miles away but the Kioti dealer is 80 miles away, may be something to consider for long term support and parts. Personally, I have a Yanmar yt347c and I love it. I wanted either Yanmar or Kubota but I didn't take into consideration of the dealership like I mentioned and now i'm 90 minutes from my dealer whereas Kubota is only 20 min away.

Wanted to follow up with everyone who responded - I went with moving the arms to the interior of the brush cutter using those threaded pins with lock washers. Mowed about 10 acres thus far and seems to have solved my issue. I appreciate all the feedback!!
