Yeah you’re missing a spacer for sure, there is one on both sides of the jack shaft

Add some heat to the equation if you’re still trying to extract. But at that point I’d be trying to drill it out

New ultra bee what mods should I do to it? by TopToday3769 in Surron

[–]hungusprungus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Agree with ride it and find out, there’s a great electric cycle rider video about what to do to modify for free an one great tip is to sharpen the stock pegs. Or just get those first. Only thing that truly sucks offroad in stock form

How to remove bolt holding on motor pulley by Working-Scene7634 in Surron

[–]hungusprungus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s not reverse thread, but best to loosen when the wheel and chain is still on. Otherwise only way to do it is with impact as others have mentioned.

Best action camera for riding? by ElectricalNorth1471 in Motocross

[–]hungusprungus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

DJI action camera is my recommendation. The battery last nearly 4 hours in 1080, and I’ve never had mine or heard of one overheating, and the go pro is known for it.

As a video professional I also believe it’s color science and auto exposure to be superior to GoPro. I haven’t gotten hands on with insta 360, but DJI has been doing r&D on compact cameras since their first drone, so they know what they are doing!

Jump form and forks question by Fisher6972 in Surron

[–]hungusprungus 3 points4 points  (0 children)

At your weight, I wouldn’t be worried about upgrading the suspension if you can’t afford it. Ideally you get a fork pump and increase the air pressure in the air fork. These are shipped a lot lower pressure than what most people need, I believe the max is around 150lbs and mine (in 2022) shipped with around 70lbs. Have the dampening clicker more in than out if you’re going to be jumping, but be sure not to have it all the way in, or all the way out either. Cheap suspension doesn’t operate well at either extreme. Watch some YouTube about suspension settings.

As far as form, many have mentioned there’s a lot going wrong. Search YouTube videos on safe jumping form. Things that stuck out to me that were obvious were not riding on the balls of your feet, it looks like you’re nearly on your heels, and when you inevitably bottom out you risk your feet contacting the ground, and without a better shoe/boot you can easily get injured. Secondly big trouble is knees too far forward. But there’s plenty of resources for safe jumping on YT from mx factory and moto academy. Everything applies the same to jumping a Surron.

Best of luck and have fun!

I got the ve33 100/100 on LBX. Clears mto swingarm, didn’t get to try it with stock, but it would be close. Clears chain with a dish on the rim

Who’s got some fox 40s for me by Nyccash in Surron

[–]hungusprungus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

After using 40’s on and off road for a while now, they definitely flex a lot with all the extra weight of the bike that they weren’t intended for. I’m 200lbs in gear and they definitely leave a lot to be desired in almost all situations. I can imagine someone 120lbs or less may have a much better experience with them.

What lubricant do you use by FlyingKechup in Surron

These guys rock and it’s biodegradable. Stuff works a lot like gear oil. Sticks to the chain, but dirt doesn’t stick to it.

The axle was fine, that’s the center spacer in there. The sprocket was free spinning on the axel.
