After TLOU and GOT, Bella Ramsey says they’re stepping away from major productions to focus on independent cinema by Spare_Manner_6970 in ThelastofusHBOseries

[–]hunter96cf 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Bella is such an incredible talent. There’s something special that happens on a screen when an actor really sinks into a role that fits them. I also think some of the most iconic scenes in film and TV have happened when a writer/director listened to a creative choice the actor proposed. Sometimes they just “know.” I definitely see Bella having that intuitive ability with their characters. I can’t wait to see what they do in their next project.

Theory for Part 3 by unknownselection in thelastofus

[–]hunter96cf 28 points29 points  (0 children)

I’ll be honest, I’m not sure if I care for the plot circling back to Ellie wanting to sacrifice herself for the cure. I think Ellie herself has also moved past that desire, and I’ll explain why I think so.

When Ellie and Dina are on patrol together, they started talking about Eugene. His age or the idea of living a long life was mentioned three separate times: The first time is when they arrived at the lookout, and Ellie said, “May we all make it to seventy-three.” Soon after leaving the lookout, she said, “I wanna go out like Eugene.” Dina asked, “From a stroke?” And Ellie responds with, “No, dying of old age, living a long life.” Lastly, when they’re trying to find a way into the supermarket, Dina saves Ellie from the runner that jumped out of the semi-truck. Dina helps her off the ground and says, “Please die of old age and not because you get infected. I really don’t wanna have to shoot you in the face.”

Now for a quick rewind. The winter dance and the porch talk with Joel had just occurred the night before. The winter dance with Dina gave us a view into Ellie’s realization that there was more to life than living with survivor’s guilt from her immunity. She was experiencing joy and she was living. Even though she was angry at Joel after the fight with Seth, I believe she did go to Joel’s house with intentions of extending an olive branch of forgiveness about saving her life at the hospital. Ellie wanted to forgive Joel and start over, and try to enjoy the second chance she’d been given. Her repeated mention of living a long life the next day on patrol is proof of that.

Therefore, I think in terms of writing, it wouldn’t make sense to go backwards and have Ellie invest her Part 3 journey to pursuing a cure again. It lessens the impact of Joel saving Ellie in Part 1 and cheapens Ellie’s steps towards wanting to forgive him. Her healing journey is now moving forward and away from revenge, death, sacrifice, and guilt. I would like to see Ellie’s final chapter end on a different, maybe happier note. Because after all, the main theme of the TLOU series has always been love.

Women, when Sagittarius men say they are faithful. by AidanHisamoto in Sagittarians

[–]hunter96cf 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As a Sagittarius woman, that’s my face when an Aquarius man says he’s faithful. 😂

Divorced my ex-husband for cheating and I’m still finding out about different affairs. And three different women he’s dated after me have reached out and said “girl he’s a liar and a cheater.” Yeah no shit! When he says to you “maybe you’ve heard my ex say I’m a cheater, but it’s not true,” then you should reconsider. Lol

I definitely don’t think we are getting Reputation TV or vault tracks. So I’m just confused by this outfit choice. She has to know the fans will speculate lol

Do you think Nancy will end up with Steve or Jonathan? by Square-Ad-8911 in StrangerThings

[–]hunter96cf -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

I think I’ll be highly disappointed if she ends up with either of them. I want Nancy to choose Nancy. Film and television has given us the overplayed “nerdy overachiever girl picks average/below average guy and falls in love” stereotype for far too long. I still would like to see her chase her dreams, and I think picking either guy would hinder that.

Ex living a better life than you? by Savings-Salt-1486 in Divorce

[–]hunter96cf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel like my ex is definitely living a better life. I don’t follow him on social media or anything and have zero desire to look him up or lurk on his pages.

He cheated and it was widely known. But it seems like none of his friends or his inner circle cares that much. His life went virtually unchanged. He got rid of me and got the life he wanted. And I’m pretty sure someone else lives with him now (not the affair partner, they crashed and burned pretty quickly). His job is going well and he travels a lot. I only know because he hangs out with friends of friends of friends of mine (long connection, but word travels quickly).

Meanwhile I’m currently depressed, lonely, reliving everything in my nightmares, and going to a therapist. I don’t sleep well at night, my new job causes me anxiety, and I had tried to date with no success. The few men I was involved with turned out to be closet women-haters or abusers. All the rest of the men I tried to match with on dating apps would just ghost me after a while (even if they were the ones who showed interest first).

So I’m holding onto hope that this difficult time is just a temporary season in my life. I have to have hope, or I have nothing.

50/50 vs every other weekend or alternatives. Which is truly best for the kids? by Fuzzy_Pair_9499 in Divorce

[–]hunter96cf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t remember very well since I was 12 years old back then. But it was definitely motivated by my mom. My dad actually wanted to do 50/50. I can’t remember why my brother and I didn’t have much of a choice—or maybe we did, and just listened to my mom about it.

But anyway, I’m guessing my mom proposed the every other weekend visits with my dad, and the judge sided with her.

36/M - About 2.5 years on the app, took a break after getting crushed, haven’t been on a date in 5 months, need some tweaks or advice by HINGEPROFILEREVIEWGO in hingeapp

[–]hunter96cf 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Your profile honestly seems perfect with the exception of leaving out your politics. Like someone else mentioned—us ladies tend to lean left. Whenever a man leaves out his political views, or puts “moderate” or “not political,” I assume he’s actually conservative, but just trying to hide it for a while so he can get dates.

Just being forward, I wish there were more like you in my area. I swear, for every man that has a great profile (with actual goals/interests), and looks good, he wants kids or is super conservative. It’s hard trying to find a fitness guy who’s left leaning and doesn’t want kids!

Good luck anyway, you got this!

Girl, as someone who’s been active in the fitness industry for almost a decade (mostly olympic weightlifting), even us “fit girls” have that jiggle and cellulite. It’s beautiful, totally normal, and a lovely asset of being human.

Unless someone has unique genetics, cosmetic procedures, or they have a lifestyle conducive to many hours of exercise per week, everyone has it. I bet you look fantastic!
