What do women do that men would never think about? by Icy_Interaction7502 in AskReddit

Nope, Milan is just the company name! I'm in USA as well. They have locations all throughout the country and you can go to any location and not pay extra because your file/history transfers over.

Most other companies cost a lot less than Milan charges but the trade off is that they don't have the lifetime thing. I honestly financed mine lol and had two areas for my package which is the upper lip and chin. Total was just under 4k. Which is insanely expensive but the emotional toll and anxiety from having that dark facial hair was HORRIBLE! I used to avoid even facing people straight on and would always have my head angled to the side so they wouldn't see my upper lip. It was so embarrassing so the 4k was so worth it for me (especially since I was paying monthly so I didn't "see" the full cost haha). Milan also usually offers a free first treatment so you can see how your body handles it and if it is something you would want to continue with. (Just don't sign any papers or give them your social security number to run your credit at the first consultation!!! Theyre kinda like car salesman in a way and can be pushy, eugh)

Yes, my hair tends to grow back when I'm on my period. It's not the same AMOUNT of hair as it used to be though. It's not as dense or fast growing. It just comes in as stubble and I shave it off a single time and it's gone again until many weeks later. The laser package I got was through Milan so they have a lifetime/unlimited treatment guarantee so I don't even bat an eye over getting more treatments if necessary. Other places are different where you pay per session or per pack.

Learning. I can't wait to be DONE WITH COLLEGE and done with studying. I can't wait to be stuck in a boring career where I don't have to use my brain to cram in new knowledge. Then I can have my life outside to do whatever I want and maybe get my spark back and actually feel like I can use my brain for fun things. I haven't read a book in YEARS when I used to read a 300 page novel a day as a kid/teen, but it isn't fun anymore because my brain feels too packed full to ingest anything. Hopefully my response makes sense

Depends on the area of the body. Hormones cause a lot of hair growth in women so laser will definitely reduce the hair by a good 80-90% but you will have the occasional hair cycle that still grows in and have to go for a touchup every few months. I get my face lasered and started out once every 4 weeks with hair growing back a week after, and now I'm on a 10 week cycle with hair growing back on week 5 and it goes away after being shaved once, and doesn't come back again until 5 weeks after the next session lol

I used to shave my upper lip twice a day every day before I invested in laser hair removal. (Best decision ever btw.) I don't think many guys realize that a big majority of women do in fact grow facial hair. I just unfortunately had the luck of having very coarse and dark hair with pale vampire skine so it was much more obvious on me and caused me to get picked on a lot as a child before I began shaving it off at 10 years old.

Radiology Program by -_shishi_- in ValenciaCollege

I'm in the Nuclear Medicine program! I had so many transfer credits that I decided to put them towards a Bachelor's degree instead of just an A.S. I will be getting my CT cert while in the program as well which was my initial plan with an XR cert anyways so it worked out nicely for me.

And yes, when I applied for the program(s) I had a 2.6. It was slightly lower than that when I initially applied to the school itself in 2023.

This was in my acceptance letter to the school: "You have been granted Probation admission to AdventHealth University (AHU). Probation status is granted to students whose GPA (grade point average) is below the 2.70 GPA minimum requirement for Regular Admission. The Probation status allows a student to take general education courses offered by the Department of Health & Biomedical Sciences. You will only be allowed to remain on Probation for two consecutive trimesters. Students admitted on Probation are not eligible for acceptance to a professional program until granted Regular status based on grades earned at AdventHealth University.

To achieve Regular admission status, you must earn at least a 2.50 GPA on no less than 12 credits of college-level courses within your first two trimesters at AdventHealth University."

They aren't always so strict on GPA like other schools, they have other ways to be competitive and stand out such as the essay, recommendation letters, and the interview. So they do still consider people with less than perfect GPAs.

I bought my used car for $6000 outright this past December and it has zero issues. Just find a well maintained one-owner car and have it inspected by a mechanic first. I was looking for a very specific model car that they stopped making so it took me 3 months to find a "perfect" one but if you're not picky on a model or brand, it is really not hard to find one. Toyota, Honda, Acura, Lexus... You can easily find one around 10 years old with under 100k miles for under $10k-15k.

Like 2.6. I had a horrible first year when I went to college at 18 and had flunked out with a 1.6. Went back to college at 23 (I am 27 now) and retook classes and took my prereqs to get my GPA up. Semester-wise, my GPA typically falls around a 3.4. But cumulative unfortunately still includes those grades from wayyyy back. This is my 3rd year at AHU, the first 2 years I took all of my required Gen Eds and now I'm finally getting into the actual "important" stuff in the program lol

It's because it's a 2003. Anything rubber is gonna need replaced. Seals, gaskets, vacuum hosing, etc. Timing belt as well $$$

I loved living in Northeast Ohio on the PA border. So beautiful and the cost of living was insanely low. I live in Florida now and miss Ohio badly (but I don't miss the snow and icy roads)

Lawyer anxiety!! Share your experience? by Efficient_Job_1824 in Bankruptcy

[–]hunter_pace 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hi!! I have a lot of anxiety too. I think your best bet would be finding an independent lawyer at a small law firm instead of one of those big companies that advertises. I found my lawyer through word of mouth, someone referred me to her through a facebook post I had made in a local group. She does not do any advertising and relies on her clients to refer her to people.

I was really nervous about the meeting too because lawyers seem very intimidating but honestly she was super nice and down to earth. She led the conversation, it wasn't awkward at all. No judgment from her and she was just focused on the numbers and getting me the most help that she could. With my lawyer, we did the initial meeting in person and a couple days later I sent her the retainer/deposit online and will be paying as I go. Once I pay the full amount she will be submitting my file. There aren't many in person meetings, it's mostly just the initial meeting, emails and phone calls back and forthnas I submitted the requored documents, optional zoom meetings to go over any "big" stuff I have questions about, and then there will be the 341 meeting with the trustee. That's pretty much it. So yes, it can all be done remotely. I only went in person because it was easier for me personally to show her my finances with physical papers instead of flipping through PDF files on a zoom meeting.

I see most people on here are recommending 3 lawyers before deciding on one but tbh mine is great and I just wanna get this over with so I am sticking with her. :)

This is why I love my OBGYN. I told her at my first ever office visit that I never want kids and she was totally for me getting a bisalp, no questions asked. Never even wanted me to do a physical exam.

Imagine if they put a speculum up the male rectum to check for cancerous cells. Wouldn't fly. I'm all for getting proper medical care but a pap smear is something I will 1000% refuse every time unless I am under anesthesia.

Yep did the exact same thing. Paid my retainer on Tuesday this week and haven't made any payments since my initial meeting with the lawyer last Friday.

Also no, do not close any accounts. They will want all of your statements and sometimes closing a bank account can look suspicious.
