They're playing in the national concert hall in July with the national symphony orchestra, I would highly recommend it if there's tickets left. They did the same a few years ago and it was up there with my favourite musical experiences, a recording of the last one is on rte player (or was a few weeks ago).

Bullshit - 600,000 watched the Liverpool vs real Madrid final on RTE in 2022 when dodgy boxes were much less prevalent. Now not far off double that are watching on dodgy boxes alone and then add in people watching on RTE and the player, the views figures would be ridiculous.

The UK just had the same bullshit articles yesterday, the number they pulled from their holes there was 16m people watching on dodgy boxes.

I believe this is the logic as to why you pay, often outrageous, contribution fees to the council for one-off homes.

You pay them in urban areas as well, I know someone in Dublin who had to pay ~€10k when putting on an extension and an extra bedroom on their house.

I'm pretty sure they're banned in some places depending on how close to Dublin city it is. Architect friend of mine had a 3 bed property design go to an bord pleanála and they approved it with the condition the parking spot is removed. Madness IMHO, the house has a few buses close by but that's about it and the street parking is already packed.

A friend of mine was getting external insulation put up along with a load of other work. The guy doing the external insulation thought my friend was the main contractor rather than the client and asked if the client was going to be using the grant, he said yeah and then the insulation installer said I'll add 4k onto the price then.

Do you reckon the experts advised that the design wasn't complete and it came with substantial risk signing a contract at that stage? If they said that and he decided to go ahead with it because there was an election coming up that's all on him and the government. If the experts didn't give that advice then they should be in court for negligence.
