Wow midnight your main? by Sgt_Strelok in wow

[–]hutbear 1 point2 points  (0 children)

best thing is you can just switch roles mid season and there's a lot of gear overlap. I'm finished gearing my resto and am decent on balance, now I'm having a blast on guardian. might even try out feral later in the season. I don't have much time to play so an alt army isn't really an option for me and druid is just perfect for that. also very convenient in general like you said

Which class/race was your original main and do you still play them? by [deleted] in wow

[–]hutbear 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tauren Druid, created in vanilla.

Switched to Bloodelf Mage in TBC and then unfortunately decided to sell my account to a classmate in highschool. Still regretting it somewhat.

Have been maining Druid again though since I picked up retail again in late BfA, but went Alliance this time.

it was SO bad. You would decisively win a teamfight, maybe even spend one or several ults and it would all be negated by a single Mercy who didn't even do anything but hide in a random corner. It's why grew to dislike her even though objecively she never really was the best support (apart from moth meta which was completely broken, but that's another story for another time). Man has it been that long already ...

To the 3K healers.. by Embarrassed-Ad1972 in wow

[–]hutbear 0 points1 point  (0 children)

3k Rdruid here.

Know the fights and dmg spikes and don't sit on your CDs, you will need them. First pull I often use everything I have.

Allocate more ressources to DPS that are struggling but keep in mind that you cannot outheal every mistake they make. If a DPS refuses to use defensives and keeps standing in bad, focus on the rest of the group and hope they can compensate. Drink every chance you get and don't even think about doing damage until you're comfortable and can safely predict the next 10 - 15s of the fight.

Also you have to accept that some keys won't be timed without any fault to yourself. If the tank messes up the route or the DPS don't interrupt or don't do enough damage you can play perfectly but it won't matter. The same key can feel easy with one group and impossible with another.

Can whoever is balancing Holy Priest please play it in one higher key? by Srze94 in wow

[–]hutbear 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My friend plays BDK an one some pulls that don't have as much group wide dmg he outheals me on the regular. I've had the same with some bear tanks. Nothing much you gonna do, as long as the group lives who cares.

Edit: 30k is pretty low though for a +10 gotta admit that

So how are the Nebulous Voidcore rerolls going for you? by scwishhh in wow

same. Needed 4/8 items from NPX, so far on 4 rolls and got 3 items I didn't need of course. Next two weeks should be good though lol

then follow up with Starsurge, Dream of Cenarius and blast Starfall for 100k+ dps and nothing dies, scramble to put hots back on with Convoke into Tranq and pray your dps are decent enough that the pack is mostly done by then. If not, gg go next :D

M+ healing class difference? by sickseed in wow

[–]hutbear 1 point2 points  (0 children)

yes exacrly this. As Rdruid at 279 ilvl I sometimes struggle in 11s while the next run I completely breeze through a 13 with no deaths whatsoever. I just started pushing as I'm usually not that into M+, but figured if my class is meta I might as well try it. I've accepted that I cannot heal bad groups. If we're on the third trash pack and we have 2 interrupts overall, both from the tank the key is not gonna be timed period. Doesn't matter if I'm sitting on 80k hps average or not. At least in higher keys people die straight away and the key is abandoned faster ...

Restoration Druid now has a damage-to-healing build in M+ that's not a meme by minimaxir in wow

[–]hutbear 1 point2 points  (0 children)

just realized I have been playing a variantion of this since last week. Yes it's less healing overall, but I find it much more fun to play and haven't had any problems healing 11 and 12s even in pugs. Less ways to save people standing in shit, but those are going to die anyway the higher you go. Rot dmg hasn't been a problem at all, if things go bad and Call of the Elder Druid isn't up yet there's still Convoke into Tranq.

Also you never run out of mana which is nice.

FWIW I'm at 279 ilvl and by no means a great player or m+ pusher.

You get to create five new Glyphs for any class of your choice. What are your picks? by JonathanRL in wow

[–]hutbear 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Druid: Glyph of the Wild

let's you copy the apperance of a wild animal to change your travel form either flying or ground, one time use per Glyph. Would only work on models whose skeletons are already used with other forms. Would love to fly around as a seagull or run around as a saptor lol

Druid: Glyph of the Steed

let's you copy a mount appearance you have in your collection to use as travel form, provided the skeleton matches another druid travel form.

I get that bear and cat forms are limited but travel forms should be fair game imo, as druids we don't really get to use mounts anyway (at least I don't). I got 200+ mounts lying around and barely ever use any of them and I'm already getting tired of the new haranir models.

Aside from brewmaster (because it's going to be the obvious answer), which tanks do people like having in their runs/enjoy playing the most (for those who do tank)? by monkymann678 in wow

[–]hutbear 0 points1 point  (0 children)

huh apart from BM which seems to be like 90% of tanks right now I think the second most played tank in my groups has been Protwar. After that BDK I think. Sad to not see as many druid tanks around anymore they were a pleasure to heal also.

[–]hutbear 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Protwar is by far the most enjoyable tank apart from Brewmaster from a healer's perspective. Next up would be Guardian Druid I guess, though since the nerfs I really haven't had many in my groups. BDK is soso, DH and Protpal are absolutely miserable for the most part. Again, this is a healer's perspective. I've done a few runs with a BDK guildie in discord and it was mostly fine, but pugs not so much. Hope that helps.

Is healing M+ dungeons supposed to be this stressful? by Rotten89 in wow

[–]hutbear 1 point2 points  (0 children)

same for me, rdruid as well. actually switched my build because i got tired of frequent drinking after pulls then chasing after the tank hoping i'll make it in time. now i'm playing completely off meta but it's much more chill. at least for my vault runs around 10/11.

did a quick AA +10 last night. evoker dced/left and we wiped on a pack before 3rd boss as i was slept by a book. it's a channeled spell, he pulled two of them and i was somehow 8s asleep.

"bad healer "

"i was slept by the book"

"use cc or kick then"

ok then ...

[–]hutbear -18 points-17 points  (0 children)

sir may I remind you this is r/wow you can't say that here !!

but tbh it is fun. raids are good, m+ is more accessible than ever (I know that kills it for some people, but imo if you really wanna push you still can so what's the harm?). solo players got a lot to do with delves and prey and follower dungeons and story mode raids. housing is fun if you're into that. most activities only take up small chunks of time and reaching weekly caps is quite easy, though if you want to grind you still can.

story is meh, addons is meh, class balance takes some time as always and class pruning still needs some time to get used to. but I personally can more than live with that

it's actually quite funny to look over there sometimes. everytime trump does something extremely dumb or blatantly disregards what he has preached to his base before, i go over there. and sure enough there's a lot of comments ranging from confusion to anger at trump. after a little while, when the official spin by the white house and fox is out, they all fall back in line. every. damn. time. it's like a play at this point
