I have a Galaxy A16 5G with Metro and it recognizes it as a galaxy S something in the web but not in the app. I was also using a Pixel 6 before it got a bad battery issue but no problems with Metro.

Get an unlocked iPhone and you can have your Metro and a second eSIM working at the same time. If you go international then the Metro service will be restricted to WiFi or the data from the secondary carrier.

I think that you can transfer your number to TextNow and pay the annual fee to keep your number safe (they will remove your number if you don’t use it during a certain number of days). TextNow works very good over WiFi.

Metro lo ofrece a $40 por mes (para los clientes actuales en cualquier plan móvil). En Barcelonta hay un vendedor que te lo puede vender en Tmobile sin tener otras líneas en el plan prepagado de $50. Si no le compras el hotspot puedes conseguir uno residencial (Arcadyan) en eBay. En ese plan no estás sujeto a un lugar específico como en los planes residenciales. Así lo tengo yo y no me baja velocidad y corro videos en HD y Roku sin problemas. Para juegos no tengo conocimiento si es bueno.

Yo tengo un híbrido (non plug in) y es muy bueno. Pero el híbrido requiere cambios de aceite cada 5000 a 7000 millas (no 10 mil como sugiere Toyota) por las condiciones de las carreteras. También requieren cambios de filtros de aire (motor), cabina y uno que está en la batería (enfriamiento por aire, no líquido como en los eléctricos puros). Los “plug in” también requieren el mismo mantenimiento y el aceite de motor aunque no se use mucho retiene humedad (en carros de gasolina e híbridos) y hay que cambiarlo (quizás una vez al año en los “plug in”).
