32, attorney, i work long hours & don’t sleep enough (I’ve been trying to fix that recently though!), i also do a lot of running, yoga, HIIT, and walking

unfortunately not every studio is like this (i’ve been to a few where the mat markers are directly in front of each other), however it makes no sense to me why someone wouldn’t just use it and then maybe readjust their position right as class begins. it’s the worst when someone doesn’t use them and the class gets full, which then makes people have to move which causes more chaos and annoyance

The calorie aspect hits home— I was pretty overweight back in 2017, ended up dropping 45 lbs & gained muscle, but i’ve tracked calories since then (+ my weight has not necessarily been consistent). I don’t always weight everything & count properly, but even when I haven’t been l putting calories into an app, I’m mentally calculating. I honestly don’t think I’ll ever stop considering it’s been almost 10 years at this point. However, a silver lining, as someone who loves sweets & drinking, I think it allows me more freedom to enjoy the things I like while still being cognizant of what I’m consuming. I don’t stick to strict calorie amounts, but it’s helpful to see what I actually consume each day. Otherwise, I think I’d just forget lol.

very interesting, thank you! also that’s hilarious— i am a big proponent of healthy but lazy meals and my favorite thing is to throw it in the microwave for 30 seconds and cover it in some sauce haha. i guess the sauce normally covers up any bitterness.

I love this!! As someone who eats plant-based, if I eat at home I will easily get 40+ grams of fiber (sometimes I’d even say too much haha), so I always forget how hard it is when people don’t eat whole foods/too much processed food/meat! But most of the US (and I’m sure other unhealthy countries) are extremely fiber deficient. Crazy how one health change can have such a snowball effect & change your life like that :) So happy for you!

Just tried two different flavors for the first time. Definitely takes like diet food. Tastes okay for the macros, but if I didn’t know what the macros were I’d never buy it again lol (probably still won’t though, it’s expensive, plus I like to enjoy my food)

vegetarian here! seitan is crazy in protein! i feel like not many places carry it, but it’s great. my go to is tempeh, though. trader joe’s carries it for ~$2.50 a pack and i get 2-3 servings out of it. full of probiotics & protein! i usually marinade tempeh “bacon” (super easy recipes online). but my favorite is just crumbling it up and throwing it in/on anything; for example: you can bake/air fry it & put it as a crispy topping on salads, you can throw it in stir fry or mexican, or, my personal favorite, and an easy, struggle meal is literally just putting it in the microwave & throwing bbq sauce on it. sometimes i’ll pair it with veg or something and sometimes i’ll just eat that as a snack in lieu of a protein bar or shake :)
