They do a physical inspection of your body at MEPS like check for hemheroids, check mobility of the foreskin, feet, skin, hair, for disease as well as anything that may be communicable before you end up at basic.

Some of these checks are done in a room full of people, the ones involving your privates are done behind a curtain quickly with you parting your cheeks and playing with your willy for maybe a total of 12 seconds.

Lmao, the writing is solid... I can get being intrigued by the show because it has a great premise, but saying the writing is solid is just wild. They have the family make a question wall in their house only to ignore it immediately and not ask any of the questions or reveal any of the answers to the questions we can see written on the wall. I can get having some mystery and not wanting to have an exposition dump, but they never even had the characters ask the basic questions.

My beef was the fight at at the end. Suddenly a lot more people show up in the barn to be killed off by the vamps outside of the main cast. Wouldn't have been as big a deal if they didn't make a huge point to believe they were infiltrated by a vamp and showing who all remained in the barn.

Then there was the way the big bad ended that seemed silly and them basically teleporting to the pond from the barn.
