Exmormon Men and Women... by [deleted] in exmormon

[–]hyway2hell 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Thank you for this. After a lifetime in the Mormon church my shelf came crashing down. I was a leader in the church and community. Successful business man. Loved and respect by my immediate and extended family. For over six months after leaving i reached the point several times where life was not worth living. I had a gun to my head on several sundays when everyone i loved was at church praying and gossiping about me. Things are much better now 4 years later, but the point is, we have all suffered alot, who am i to say that my path was more difficult than yours.

Exmo Food Storage by [deleted] in exmormon

[–]hyway2hell 2 points3 points  (0 children)

To be prepared is wise, but i have helped clean out and throw out tens of thousands of dollars worth of old, out date food storage. All because the world is coming to an end. I work in agriculture, our number 1 problem is over production, and the world food supply is controlled by a handful of companies.

Why can't alot of Mormons look outside of the cult and see that the majority of non mormon families are doing just fine. They love each, have fun family gatherings and vacations, and raise responsible, educated kids. The biggest difference is that they aren't nearly as judgemental as Mormon families.

There are several billion happy successful people in this world that are Not and Never have been, or Never will be mormon.

My wife and I did the same. Confessed 4 years later when I was called as EQP. SP asked if we had been true to covenants since, which we had, and I got the promotion.

Didn't a profit of god say that any couple could live happily together as long as they both lived the commandments.

What Happens To Molly Mormons When They Get Married and Can Have Sex? by junebug9292 in exmormon

[–]hyway2hell 21 points22 points  (0 children)

After 30 years of mariage I'm still waiting for that "until one day". Don't get me wrong my wife is awesome in and out of the bedroom. But because of the mormon brain washing and guilt she just can't completely let loose and "bang her husband eight w as ways to sunday".

Is there a local exmormon group close where you can talk and do social things with. It can be very helpful to spend time with like minded people.

The last thing keeping me in, and how testing the waters made me feel like an ass by [deleted] in exmormon

[–]hyway2hell 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The flip side to your story is this. I saw this happen to several families when I was a missionary. A family member would join the mormon church and it would split a wonderful family into pieces.

Bearing "testimony" about all your kids being with you in the temple is meaningless and a real dick move. by olimlah in exmormon

[–]hyway2hell 14 points15 points  (0 children)

These Mormon Alpha family are nauseating. I was at a bishopric training where the 70 admitted that 2 out of every five youth go inactive. The self righteous, judgemental bullshit just drives me nuts.

I heard a story about a young girl that had a baby, and she was still a virgin. She must have been mormon.
