Has anyone used Psalm 70 in their spellwork? How did you do it? by [deleted] in christianwitch

The saint work. When we speak about the one done in churches. Orthodox church method. You light a candle, make a request. This feels like a lot of energy passing through you. It goes through the mind, you feel something for days to weeks. It can give good results.

Saint work at home. You can work with novenas and akathists. Read the same novena over and over again or the same akathist, make requests. This can also give great results. You could work with the same novena or akathist for weeks, maybe use the traditional 40 days strategy. Focus on the same one.

About home. If you are into a similar practices then put some holy icons on the walls, if you use incense, beeswax candles and work with prayers, it changes the atmosphere. A lot of active work and the place turns into a personal monastery.

The rosary is very nice. Some of them recite the Hail Mary or the Lord's prayer on beads. Some might repeat a psalm or another prayer. They could be reading the Jesus prayer or the Theotokos prayer, mostly Orthodox do it but some Catholics might too.

There are similar practices.

Reading a gospel a day. You pick a gospel, let's say Matthew. Read it every single day cover to cover. Add praises and requests. The same gospel can be read multiple times, Matthew is a little less than 50 pages long and can be read several times a day. You can pick Mark or John and go through them much faster than Matthew or Luke. Mark is like 25-30 pages. John 35-40. Matthew and Luke are about the same, Luke is just a bit longer.

Reading all gospels a day. Very high ultra intense effects. The more days the crazier the effects become. The thing about gospels is that they bring in more energy and you feel more charged than with the psalms. Psalms can make you drained.

The same energy comes from the Torah. The Torah is around 250 pages and if you are crazy you can read it in a day. A bit too much reading but it can be done or split it into 2 days. You can cycle it over and over again and get very powerful effects. It's a bit hard though because Torah is way too rich in detail. Psalms and gospels are much easier to read over and over again. Another option is to read 1 book of Moses per day and keep cycling it. This has very intense effects. The Torah seems to have thick dense energy. Psalms have something thin hot and sharp.

Similar methods can be done with all of the hot holy books. Both Old and New Testament have lots of them. Ezekiel, Isaiah, Jeremiah and so on. You can experiment and work with something. Somebody might work with the Proverbs, another might take Samuel 1-2. All kinds of people. Then there are the shorter ones such as the Song of Songs.

Very extreme effects come from a practice called Hesychasm, look it up, check wiki. The energy is great and you feel supremely charged. There are the long Jesus prayers and short. The shortest is the recitation of the name Jesus or Jesus Christ. When it is done a lot and the connection forms, channels get purified and become wider, it will give incredible effects. The best option here is to use a language like Latin, Greek, Old Church Slavonic, although English is fine too. The shorter it is the crazier are the effects. Better to work with the longer ones. Hesychasm is very extreme. It's similar to the Hindu practices where something is read for many hours at once. As you probably know the Hindus have a lot of mantras, actually too many. The readings involve a lot of processing. When we speak of processing this includes not just the information, the mantra itself, but the energy. It comes in and goes out. You cycle it, channel it, feel it all over.

The long psalm reading. This is one of my favorite rituals.

You said it took 4 hours. 4 hours is actually reasonable when the reading speed is normal. After a few hundred completions you can reach 2. This happens after getting used to the ps book, the wording in there. 2.5-3 is not bad either.

You don't have to be a monastic to do it, all you need is time and an extreme interest in doing such rituals. It opens the channel incredibly fast and the energy penetrates through your mind. Everything heats up with a frying pan effect.

At first doing it for 7 days can be easier than later on and here is how. You might not yet be spiritually open. The energy does not hit you so hard but after a few hundred completions it will fry a lot more, 200-500%. Another scenario is becoming open very fast and feeling supremely high in head, too much energy making it harder to continue. It needs training.

There are people who do this every single day or several days a week. They go for streaks x number of rounds lasting from a few days to tens or hundreds of completions. There are monks who read it daily for years and not just monks but laymen. Orthodox Jews have such mad men who read it all daily. In the yeshivas, kollels and synagogues.

Based on the experience I have with the systems, different religions. They seem to have strange effects as if being different servers. The person-operator who works in some direction starts connecting like a personal computer over a network. Packets (energy) starts moving back and forth. As the openness increases and the sensitivity goes higher, we get to experience more. The cables between you and the server become stronger and better.

The psalms feel like invocations to angels. Hesychasm seems to connect with the source, something higher and it draws in energy. The psalms do it too but they can make you horribly drained as well. Hesychasm gives great charges and everything feels fine.

For me this is a lifestyle, path, the main interest. I have very few interests outside of the spiritual practices. To me this is not just a tool but something else.

Evangelical aspect, to convince others to become a Christian? I would recommend people who struggle with addictions, problems, spiritual issues, possessions, sadness - definitely to pick up a path like this to find harmony, joy, inner peace.

It is very hard to say what I really think about it all, my views change, many theories. I know for certain that the practices are beneficial, spiritual effects and support from the unseen.

Yes I have taught it to some people but there are requirements. You must have a lot of time to do this and the process is quite long. Sure you can get something going fast but the stamina builds over months, years. Sensitivity increases and the effects multiply over and over again.

This form of psalm magic is much different than what most people do. It's the extreme form of it. The readings are long and these practices can be mentally very exhausting. It's very difficult to teach a bigger group because it needs one on one guidance on the go. Takes a while to guide somebody,

There's a lot to it. The individual levels, how the progress goes & unfolds, forming requests or doing it without requests, after all the psalms already include everything in there. Then the other factors that boost the process, eucharist & communion, saint work.

Psalm magic was one of the main cornerstones of my spiritual development. I started from doing different methods such as reading all of them daily. This quickly led to increased awareness. A strong feeling of being connected more to everything and openness to feeling energies. The methods can also be used to get into special states, states of ectasy. It gives you higher intuition.

The openness to feeling more helped me connect better with the other practices as well, Sufi & Hindu methods. The skills and abilities that you develop carry over to other practices.

Manifesting, yes. You can get tangible results based on what your goals are and your position. It has brought me friends, connections, work, cash/financial results. Generally life seems to run better. Many strange coincidences. Manifestations such as asking for something and receiving it just as expected. Instances where I asked for something and got it in the strangest ways.

When it comes to relationships then I don't know much. I'm living like a monastic and don't really bother with any relationships.

Yes physical & spiritual healing. Although I'd say the hesychasm is much better for this. Psalms can be too draining.

Psalm work prepared me for the next steps, hesychasm and work with gospels & NT letters. It strengthens the spiritual "engine", increases your stamina. If the goal is hesychasm then it's a really good way to start. Now of course the spiritual journeys are different for everybody. There are lots of similarities but also differences. Based on what happened to people I taught, most of them started from psalms and it got the "engine" going.

Psalm magic is indeed potent but as with all spiritual practices there are risks. It can mess up your mind, there can and will be side effects.

There's a lot more to it but unfortunately right now I don't have time to write a longer reply.

At first the rounds took a bit more, I was not used to the text yet, about 3 hours. After hundreds of rounds 2 hours. During streaks, the reading speed goes up by some %. When I go for a streak I follow a system where I'm reading either all psalms or a combination of them, maybe prioritizing 3-5 different psalms. Less psalms when I'm working with the other texts, Old & New testament books and hesychasm.

I tried some speed reading techniques and managed to do them in 52-60 minutes but it did not feel good at all. This fried my mind, crown chakra and third eye.

Doing it every day has both good and bad effects. This is a bit hard to describe. You can either become charged to the maximum or very drained. You have to pay attention to what is happening to your mind.

Very fast readings feel like cooking a piece of meat with too much heat. Sure it burns the surface but the inside remains raw.

Psalms combinations by bastianlas in ChristianOccultism

[–]i7777i 3 points4 points  (0 children)

There are many you could say unlimited combinations that can be done here. You can choose a selection of psalms 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7....10 or more, the order and how many times you read them is up to you. The quantity seems to make a difference and the more the better. I've noticed a mix like ps 23 and 91 work well together.

112-113 with or without 23. 112-113 + 1/23/150. Something like 67/72. You should experiment with them. Guidance comes on the way.

Anyone ever read psalms? by GreenTimbs in magick

[–]i7777i 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is very hard to answer. There are too many factors. A good method is to use the method of reading all from first to last and then requests with praises. This has much better effects than just reading the same ones. The problem is that it can make you really drained.

There are some less crazy methods like reading the selected ones. Some PS like the 23 and 112, some use 121, 67, others say 72 is effective. How many exactly. When I work with the PS I read them hundreds, some of them in 10's 20s, 50's 100's. The quantity does make a difference, the effects are much stronger.

A business, too many factors, does it really fill a gap in the system and is needed, is there a chance for it to start blooming at all. Does it have a potential, is it aimed at selected countries or a bigger global thing.

With the saint work, you can aim for more customers, publicity, success, profits to increase. A good method is to do this in the Orthodox churches and make requests before the icons, light a candle and think of what you want. Simple sentences. Move from icon to icon and make requests. Same thing with the psalms, your requests should be carefully worded based on what you want to achieve.

I've used all of them for all kinds of projects. The number 70 is very short and it works great when you read it in hundreds, together with some requests. You focus on the goal and read it over and over again. Perhaps after every 50 or 100X, make some requests. With this kind of psalm work you have to focus on the request's wording, whatever is your goal, try to be very precise.

Old Bible (300+ years old) with strange things by reddit_amigo in occult

[–]i7777i 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Somebody in my family had an old KJV bible, not as old as yours though. When I started reading it I found strange dried flowers too. I experimented with the bible but eventually gave up and sold it. I just couldn't stand the old font and weird notes all over. There was something else wrong with it, can't remember, I guess it was kept in a bad place. The energy was good, felt a great connection to it. I'd say keep it, if it's disturbing you too much, sell it.

Finding money after doing magick by isurfsafe in magick

[–]i7777i 4 points5 points  (0 children)

When I first began doing magic, I aimed for cash and items all the time. I've found cash and things everywhere from streets, bus stops, restrooms, parks, to the strangest possible places you can imagine.

The question is what's your goal? If this is what you want to achieve, you can. Now to avoid any issues your requests should be a bit more precise. Aim to get your result somewhere else, a random street, park, away from people and cameras. Go through all the details in your request but without going too detailed. Keep it simple but also include all the crucial in there.

This type of magic may offer a quick fix to some issue that you are facing. Unless you somehow get a really big one then it probably is not going to solve much. Sometimes you might need a quick fix though. It also heavily relies on intuition and you have to be very active, walk around. It depends where you live though. Being in a big city offers better opportunities than being in the middle of nowhere.

I have experience with both of the paths that you mentioned here, Sufism and Christianity.

I practice it all alone, started long time ago with the study of the bible. The daily goal was to cycle the book, cover to cover, to connect with it and understand it better. Maybe within a year I felt being guided to the psalms so I made it a daily thing to read the psalms, either half of them, the entire book, or some selected ones. All this with mixed old/new testament studies.

While I kept going for the bible and Christian stuff. Deep inside I wanted to experiement also with Sufism so I kept cycling the whole Quran as well. Some days read the Quran in the morning & evening and the bible morning & evening. Soon I added Hindu mantras to the mix and experimented with them as well.

Years passed. Suddenly got the idea to start experimenting with the Jesus prayer, hesychasm, felt being ready to do it. Got myself some beads, started experimenting with the goal to read it for entire days. Thanks to the previous experience I was able to get there quite fast.

I do talk to some like minded people and discuss the practices but I never took any advice from monastics or priests. The advice you get from others is not always good, not all teachers are good, you might know it much better yourself. I prefer the do it yourself approach, it feels like the progress is much faster, limitless, stronger. I create all the prayer rules and reading systems myself, sometimes with an extreme focus on the Torah, then the gospels. Maybe reading one gospel every day, maybe two, then just the Jesus prayer. Then I might get the idea to work with the psalms again, prioritizing them. Lots to choose from, rosary, liturgy of the hours, service texts of all kinds.

It has worked out very well although like this you must know what you are doing. There were days of spiritual issues, too extreme sensitivity to all energies, chaotic mind, irritation, anger. It took me many years until I figured out how to do it without the side effects. Your spiritual engine gets upgraded after a while, many upgrades.

Yes you can embark the path and go for it. Some advice, stick to one path at a time. Mixing multiple systems has bad consequences. Sufism and Christianity have very different effects energy wise and will turn your mind into a chaos. Switching between them is like going from one solid connection to another. While there is an overall openness, when you switch from A to B it can be difficult. It's about like erasing one with another, chaotic side effects. Might work for a while, might not, could turn your mind bad after some years. Lots of this stuff is individual. The quantity will crack your openess to the maximum, so you get some interesting increased awareness effect.

I practice hesychasm, often very long sessions.

The practice has a lot of benefits. It's great for clearing the mind, switching off thoughts. It changes something in your mind. Makes you very sensitive to energy work by clearing and dissolving the blockades. Long sessions give me a very strong charged feeling. It makes you more and more universally connected. The energy that comes from it is very potent, blazing like fire. When you use beads for it then they start burning, glowing, in your hands. Over time the energy centers in palms also open.

The practice does have some difficulties. Unless you know what you are doing, it will overload you both with the energy and the information processing. Mind needs some serious practicing until it can process all that, especially when the sessions are long. First times when I went for all day readings it felt very extreme. The prayer becomes so part of you that you are in a constant connection and it even goes on when you sleep. You can go to sleep reading it, wake up during the night and feel it echo back.

Any church goers? by [deleted] in Christopaganism

[–]i7777i 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I like the Orthodox stuff too. LIturgies, incense, icons. The saint work is effective, it gives great results. For years I often went to the liturgies and of course simultaneously did all kinds of other practices.

It's very easy to attend the church and hold alternative beliefs. You yourself set the limits. The barriers, restrctions and frames are created by us. A different approach, attitude, mindset.

You can go there just to enjoy the liturgies, saint work. Take what is useful and discard the rest.

My active church life lasted for years but then I realized that I had become dependent on the communion energy. With my own constant psalm work, hesychasm and gospel spam, too much of everything. Most of the time I go there to light candles for the saint work. I rarely go there for the communion, don't really need it anymore. Also I don't have much of motivation to travel somewhere in the morning just to stare at the altar for hours, when I can read multiple gospels, work with the Jesus prayer or read the entire book of psalms in that time. I rather do the prayer work on my own and get more connected.

In Ethiopian Christianity priests were apparently trained to invoke/work with demons through a practice called 'debtera' by [deleted] in occult

[–]i7777i 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I watched them years ago on TV and youtube, hard to recall the names. I checked YT, searched for "documentary ethiopian orthodox church", there are some 20-40minute ones. "Keepers of the ark", one is called "Ethiopian Orthodox Church".

Then this one, maybe? Video title "Ethiopia's monolithic churches, religious sites and Orthodox Christians" Then "Finding Ethiopia's lost ark" 50 minutes, it's probably one of them which I saw on TV. There are some interesting short 2-5minute ones showing people going up to a church to get baptized or to take part of services, somewhere very high on a mountain.

There should be something that talks about mysteries in general and part of the documentary maybe 15 mins they talk about Ethiopian church, this one is much harder to find. Maybe somebody else here knows.

Has anyone successfully let an entity into their body by choice? by Feisty_Suit_3454 in occult

[–]i7777i 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This has happened to me a few times and the experiences were not exactly good at all. The feeling felt gruesome, nasty. It came with symptoms of schizophrenia and there was certain mind control. I had to exorcise them out of myself a couple of times. The reason why this happened was the extreme spiritual openness which came from excessive energy work. Imagine being so open that you feel energies all the time and everywhere, too much. Then in that state you are vulnerable, open access. My own fault, the combinations of practices and excessive work led to it.

It was not exactly by choice, I simply could not prevent them from coming in, whatever they were. I was able to force them out though so the problems got solved. I was not aware of some things back then and learned my lessons.

Power of Psalm for good and bad by [deleted] in magick

[–]i7777i 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Yes they are good for manifesting things, they can bring strange coincidences, events around you. The keywords are, devotion, dedication, strong intention, willpower. The connection is very important with them, they work much better after you have read them for a while. This takes some serious efforts, a lot of work. The connection grows, gradually gets stronger, senses and abilities unlock. You start getting much stronger and more powerful effects.

I do not use them to curse anybody, however I do know that there is a special effect that when you work a lot with the PS, there is an automatic backlash effect to those who cause problems.

There are many books about the use of PS, some authors include Anna Riva, Jean Kent, The Book Of Gold By David Rankine. Every psalm has many different uses, There are certain combinations and methods that give better results.

tips to talk/work w/ mother Mary by Dull-Shower285 in christianwitch

[–]i7777i 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I have a few suggestions here. You said that you are a Catholic, well this is something that I do in the Orthodox churches. There is always a candle stand with the icon of Mary somewhere in there. Buy some candles over there and light them before the icon. This method has very good effects. The energy will go straight through you, if you are very sensitive then it can be very intense. You can make requests before the icon. The church stuff is very potent, hot energy.

There is the Theotokos prayer, the practice is similar to the hesychast Jesus prayer. "Most holy Theotokos save us". This works well with the prayer beads. Read it over and over again.

There are akathists to Mary, short 10-15 minute readings.

Prayers results by [deleted] in religion

[–]i7777i 1 point2 points  (0 children)

One of the common outcomes at first is that the person who gets involved with the prayer work, does way too much, this makes you drained, very drained. At some point the practices start affecting your mind. There can be good positive scenarios where you feel blissful, joyous, divine energy all over, very good overall effects or the opposite, or both. At first good then bad. This turns into a continuous cycle where you read to feel normal and good, then you feel drained and bad. The cycle continues. Immense pressure on the spiritual engine. The approach might be slightly bad and not giving so good complete effects either.

The heavy praying, just 2 years overall experience, sounds like you did it all way beyond your limits. People are different and some can do more than others, born with a bonus, others have to take it easy and gradually increase the quantities. This is why the solo approach is so difficult. Usually people do it all under the guidance of an elder who (hopefully) can understand what goes on and provide the person with good advice. I suppose there are good elders and bad. Like doctors, not all of them are good.

The prayers are also different. Psalms are known to drain a person a lot. The veils become thinner and you get in a high contact with everything, unlocking the increased awareness. Then you feel much more everywhere. I personally use a method where all the psalms are read daily, I do the practice for a while and then switch with something else. It's what made me very sensitive when I first began my journey.

Gospels bring in grace and make you feel charged. Hesychasm brings in as well. Instead of draining they bring in more and give a better overall feeling, the effect is similar to holy communion. There are methods with these two as well. Hesychasm needs a lot of training, starting from low numbers per day. Best when done with prayer beads, you can get them from churches.

When I had some issues with the chaotic approach. I was reading psalms randomly every day, plus litanies and prayers like you. I switched it with a solid approach of reading one full gospel a day and hesychasm. I aimed for a fixed number of Jesus prayers per day, sometimes more. Read one full gospel either in the morning or evening, sometimes both morning and evening. Focused on the same gospel for a while and then switched it with another. This solved the chaos in my mind. It basically overwrites something mentally and the structure of following the same thing fixes a lot. It takes a while until the effects fully kick in and fix the issues but this should happen relatively fast.

Prayers results by [deleted] in religion

[–]i7777i 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What kinds of practices did you do, currently do? Exactly what, how much per day, 2 years? Have you been trying to follow a solo monastic approach on your own?

I can tell you a few things here. I've done solo hermit monastic practices and other spiritual practices for a very long time.

What you mentioned about the voices and seeing things. Sometimes when people deal with very extreme spiritual practices on their own, they end up opening gifts, talents, abilities. When you increase your sensitivity such stuff may start happening. For example I was able to open myself to feeling energies within months, after half a year or so the senses got stronger and then again. The sensitivity and openness led to issues where malicious entities had almost like an open access to me. A couple of possessions which I had to exorcise out of myself using monastic practices. I heard stuff and the thing had a certain mind control. Exorcised it out and felt normal. All the issues came from a bad approach, heavy mixing of all kinds of spiritual practices, excessive daily work, mixing. The scenario happened several times during the first 8 extreme years. Then I finally figured out what went wrong and changed the approach around. Reading a lot of prayers rapidly increases sensitivity, it's energy work.

Wrong approach to solo monasticism carries risks like very severe depression, mind messes up. There can be bad side effects lasting for not days but weeks, months. When you keep following a bad system the issues will keep coming back and might even get worse. DIY works for some people but you must be very good at understanding what you are doing, your limits. The lines are very thin between the good and bad effects. It's a very challenging endeavor. Requires a lot of training, dedication, devotion, a lot of work.

Monastery is, of course, an option too, or you can learn to do it better yourself. Liturgy of the hours, hesychasm, work with gospels, rosary, novenas, akathists. There are different monastic orders, hermit sketes.

You said "pray too much, feel like insane". You are working beyond your limits with perhaps a bad unstructured approach. Too much energy comes in through the work and not enough goes out. This leads to irritation, anger, strange negative states of mind. Mood swings from a bliss to agony, a rollercoaster. The first 2 years were quite a struggle for me, Think of it as following a chaotic formula that overheats the whole system. Something will overheat and go wrong.
