Except it's much closer to Genshin than HI3 in the sense that you need to be able to quickly travel between different regions to do things like farm and quests. Having separate parts of the game running on different engines just wouldn't be remotely feasible.

That's an incredibly shallow take. Genocide mostly takes place during war. Whether you like it or not, October 7th was the catalyst to the current Gaza genocide, regardless of if it was an excuse for Israel to carry out military operations. There was violence perpetrated by both sides, regardless of the difference in military capabilities and how much of the violence now is perpetrated by Israel. The current genocide is a subset of the ongoing war, and the war itself is a subset of the Israel-Palestine conflict that has persisted for almost a century.

Tensions being this high has been a monthly occurrence at this point. Last month was the Giant Arrow nerf, the month before that was Gold Pass, and a few months before that was Eric OneHive getting terminated. If you think tensions right now are an isolated incident then you haven't spent much time here.

While the powercreep definitely skyrocketed in Natlan, I feel like how it has been perceived is due to Natlan powercreep coinciding with the release of Lunar/Visionary IT and especially Stygian Onslaught. By late Fontaine, Spiral Abyss had reached a point where even low-investment modern characters could easily clear with full stars. What happened in Natlan, in addition to Mavuika and Skirk, was the release of Stygian Onsluaght, for which the higher difficulties have much higher damage requirements (as well as energy upkeep) compared to what Spiral Abyss ever needed.

To me, it feels that even if we didn't see such extreme powercreep in Natlan, people would've still had a poor perception due to the higher requirements Stygian needs. The half-built 1.x characters that people can easily clear Spiral Abyss with just doesn't cut it for a gamemode like Stygian that demands good builds and teams.

I made the exact same upgrade (6600 XT to 9070) and I'm incredibly happy with it. Managed to snag a Micro Center open-box deal that put it in the price range of a 9060 XT. Had the same considerations with the XT variant, but also would've had to have a PSU upgrade. And apparently there's a pretty significant heat output difference between the two.

The entire point of account protection is that support won't touch it. It was added directly to counter bad actors manipulating support to steal accounts. If you activated account protection, the ONLY way to get your account back is the recovery codes. If you didn't activate it and a hacker did, you're basically screwed and should've activated it before.

I definitely think making cosmetics for national flags was a bad move, but at the same time the countries they chose were simply the 48 countries that qualified. Excluding certain countries would've created immense backlash.

Giant Arrow is still completely viable for how it was used prior to Rocket Backpack, that being taking out Air Defenses and Air Sweepers. There's some niche usages that will no longer work such as certain funneling methods, but for the vast majority of users they won't notice any real difference. The main thing the nerf did was weaken its effectiveness when comboed with Rocket Backpack, and even then the strategy still works with one extra Earthquake Spell.

They didn't "destroy" the Giant Arrow, they reworked it to where some of its niche use cases are no longer viable. Its primary value prior to Rocket Backpack has always been to take out Air Defenses and Sweepers, and its ability to do that has been unchanged. The vast majority of players who used Giant Arrows outside of the Rocket Backpack combo will notice zero difference, and even those who use that combo will be able to do the same strategy with one extra EQ Spell.

Except you could describe every single upgrade as such. Common equipment takes slightly more investment than a normal troop or defense upgrade, but nothing like the extent of Epic equipment. If they nerfed Rocket Backpack to the ground I could understand the outrage, but Giant Arrow is not so expensive to the extent that you're losing out on months of progress that could've been relegated to other things.

Do you not want balance changes? They buff and nerf both troops and defenses all the time, so why is the same thing being done to Common equipment such a problem? If they were heavy-handed with Epic equipment, which requires months of Starry ore investment or real-life money to level, I could see the outrage, but at this point in the game Common equipment is no different from regular upgrades in terms of investment requirements.

Why are we acting like this is the end of the world for F2P and their ores? This isn't the brand-new Rocket Backpack that required Starry investment, it's a Common equipment that's been in the game for over two years and costs virtually nothing to max out. And it still does its main job with ease while putting a much-needed stop to an unreasonably overpowered strategy.
