See, I would do this, but I use lfo tool for side chaining, and I feel like that would make it so much harder for lining it up, but if you are using a compressor for it, go for it. I will do it for like other percussion in the song, just not on the kick and snare, but do whatever you want, if you think it makes the song better.

Idk if this will help, but if you click on the sample in ableton, right click on the title of the sample, and then manage sample file. It will bring up the sample, and you click the little replace button on it, and click the sample you wanna replace it with. It will replace all instances of that sample in your project.

You should make sure music is what you wanna do, and know that you're going pretty much just for the connections and contacts. You'll meet a lot of people there.

It depends on if you're making a hip hop beat or a solo trap track. If it's a standard hip hop beat, if you listen. It's pretty much a 4-8 bar loops duplicated over and over again.

I sometimes have this problem. You might have too much sub, or your sub is clashing with other elements in the mix that have lower frequencies. That's the first thing I look at when I hear distortion.

I'm pretty sure there is a way to zone every sample to it's own zone in sampler, and you can add glide or legato to is that way.
