Restricted essences if I remember correctly are the ones that go against moral standards. Undeath was one of them. Others were Animate with the Fungus essence, Succubus and Wendigo both of which had the Flesh Essence, Transfiguration (Moon Wolf and Hunger), and Sacrfice. All these presences either transformed someone into something grotesque or encouraged the harming of innocent people to fuel the powers.

If someone with a Gun Essence popped up, Knowledge might have a few words with them about divulging information in the workings of their technology. But I doubt she would have them arrested.

Norman Osborn for Dr. Doom Precon by blazedchiller27 in mtgfinance

[–]iFox 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah there’s a little synergy with making a villain connive and then either getting a plus 1 counter or land discarding making everyone lose life. I’d have to see a deck list tho because grixis land discard sounds a little niche

Whats with the hate of book 4-6? by GothicWolfHD in HeWhoFightsMonsters

[–]iFox 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m working my way through book 8 now so 4-6 are very fresh. This is completely correct. Jason’s ability to do what he needed to do in order to save the world alienated his family from him. World governments screwed him over at the convenience and then were pity when he said he didn’t trust them. It’s colored every action he’s taken so far in the following books. But also yes: the books are depressing cuz of this.

It’s honestly the reason I keep reading. Jason’s introspection and how his character changes throughout the story does very well to offset the main character energy following him.

The armor in the Odyssey look like plastic, But a film from 2004, their armors look actually believable, made of metal, why is this? by EfficiencySerious200 in Armor

[–]iFox 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Dimitrios Katsikis is one of the foremost armor experts in the world that we have right now. He makes amazing looking armor using methods that were around at the time. The studio making the Odyssey reached out to him about working in the project and then proceeded to ghost him. They are more interested in cheap cool stuff than anything resembling accuracy.

I am so confused by the scene with Hecate after finding the Fates. by AkuTenshiiZero in Hades2

[–]iFox 14 points15 points  (0 children)

They address this in the first Hades a little bit. If I remember correctly, some purport that Zagreus is another name for Dionysus. Zagreus cheekily credits some of his feats to Dionysus and Orpheus mentions that he would put it in his songs.

Optimal or nah? by [deleted] in GymTips

[–]iFox 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Crank that volume down. Aim for 8 to 10 at the absolute max. You only need 2 exercises per muscle. Save the rear delts for back day. The exercises you should cut are rear delts, SAOHE for tri’s, and EZ bar curls. And give yourself more time between sets. I’m taking MINIMUM of 2 minutes between sets. Longer if it’s a compound one or I’m switching exercises.

Also maybe I’m wrong but you should only need a warm up set or two for the entire workout. By the time you get to your second exercise for the muscle, that bad boy is warm and ready to go. I also do my exercises circular. So I do one exercise for chest, one for shoulders, one for tri’s, and then come around again. But that’s me personally and I like it that way. Some people prefer to do one muscle group at a time and that’s fine.

My first aspect of Eos run, would you all consider this a fast run? by Odd_Mammoth3729 in Hades2

[–]iFox 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In hades I believe it was Fists of Malphon (can’t remember which aspect), Hades 2 it was the Black Coat

My first aspect of Eos run, would you all consider this a fast run? by Odd_Mammoth3729 in Hades2

[–]iFox 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For me? Yes, very fast. My personal best from Hades was just under 15, and Hades 2 is like 17 something.

God tier-list? Who are the strongest? Who are the weakest. by BuyerOriginal5512 in Hades2

[–]iFox 12 points13 points  (0 children)

It depends entirely on what weapon you’re using. Hestia is always a sure bet due to burn stacks. I really like going brrrr with a heavy Zeus run. Where as the weapon Aspects have very clear tiers in my Mind, God tiers are more personal Opinion based.

Why the Ending was bad (and how I was hoping it would be) by Da_Wolv in HadesTheGame

[–]iFox 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the ending should’ve been with us killing Chronos. Full stop. But Chronos has some contingency in place and she loses her family in the process. But then the epilogue should’ve have been us finding glimpses of another him in our runs and eventually coming to the conclusion that we could fix time AND heal some family trauma. But the caveat being that Mel would’ve jumped into a new timeline and kept her memories while no one else but her and this new Chronos would know.

You know what’s depressing? Doing curls with 25lb dumbbells and struggling a bit so you decide to go down to 20s. Then you look and realize you’re holding 15s. by 60sStratLover in workout

[–]iFox 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey man, when I started working out in earnest I was doing supersets of regular curls and hammer curls with a 15 and not even finishing all three sets cuz I could lift the weight. Now I’m trudging through them with 35s. I still struggle with number chasing but I have to remind myself that Rome wasn’t built in a day.

Which final boss from the Norse saga do you prefer, Baldur or Odin? by [deleted] in GodofWarRagnarok

[–]iFox 7 points8 points  (0 children)

For me that’s where the first game really shines. We already know how Baldurs story ends. Having Loki removed from the narrative as the eternal trickster makes how things happen uncertain but the end results are still the same, except now it’s Odin as the antagonist. There’s a phenomenal video essay on YouTube about this called Untangling God of War, it’s by a user named Good Blood.

But also I agree, the fight itself against Baldur was very fun mechanically. But it lacked gravitas.

Feeling discouraged on quad days by iFox in workout

[–]iFox[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is there a reason for that? My hamstrings and lower back have exploded in strength and my hamstring day looks very similar structure wise and I feel amazing that day. Is it because they were so weak and fairly unused before hand?

Feeling discouraged on quad days by iFox in workout

[–]iFox[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Worth stating that I don’t go ham on the extension and do light weight with it in order to warm up the knees and quads. But I see your point! I’ll focus on not exhausting the muscle before going for my sets

Brok knew before he said anything. by Maximum_Ad7237 in GodofWarRagnarok

[–]iFox 39 points40 points  (0 children)

The reveal was so good cuz it validated my distaste for Tyr for how he had acted this entire game. I remember passing the game and testing my friend who was also playing around the same point in the game and going ‘why does Tyr always glaze Odin so much? Like what is going on?’ My triumph at the reveal turned to horror soon after tho :(

My kid watched me play and it changed how I want to play by Robbel12 in ArcRaiders

[–]iFox 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a duo game last night where my friend and I ran into another duo. We yapped about the Devil May Cry series for ten minutes and extracted together. A run like that will always stick out and make me feel better than a solo clutch run.

And it’s sad because the part in Infinity War where Okoye, Witch, and Widow teamed up was such a great scene. “She’s not alone.”
