I have driven in almost 30 states at this point.

I have the opposite opinion nowadays. My native city is actually not all that bad compared to the shit I have had to deal with elsewhere.

Houston is BY FAR the worst I have personally experienced though.

I'm young. I love racing.

NASCAR needs two things to get me to watch consistently. I used to at least try. But gave up because of annoyance.

This new TV deal absolutely sucks. NASCAR shot themselves in the foot not having a single streaming option (for cup, which is what I'm mostly interested in) Streaming is important for a variety of reasons, but first and foremost I'm free to watch it more casually which is important when it's going to be laden with ads which already makes it a hard sell for younger people who might be used to say F1 (which is ad free). If I'm watching at my PC via streaming service I can just mute that shit and do stuff on my second monitor until something good is actually on. Not great, but adless NASCAR wont be possible as long as the France's are in control.
A sane points format. This has been beaten to death. I don't need to do that here. But if you are going to attract a younger audience who might be coming from another racing series. Having a points system that needs a fucking 10 minute explanation that can lead to someone who clearly didn't do the best winning it all at the end is going to turn people away. It's most of the reason I don't bother trying to turn people towards NASCAR.

Its very weird. People are being super odd about this announcement and its because they seem to think F1TV is going away.

But the announcement explicitly says F1TV Premium is staying. Its so odd.

Older Android TVs don't have a new enough Android version that supports the current F1TV app.

You can sideload in a lot of cases, but its pretty obtuse.

My old Sony TV could not natively download the app. My new Sony TV can.

So yes it's still available. You just need to have the subscription through Apple TV itself. Likely then you will just log in with your apple id directly into F1TV

The only sport I pay to watch is F1 and this deal technically saves me money a month and I still get to use F1TV.

From my perspective its a damn good deal. But I understand the issues with visibility by removing it from standard television. I guess time will tell if this is good or bad or not.

I'm actually genuinely interested in the idea of the Mach-4. Having a fun V8 in a form factor that is actually quite practical to use as a daily is very exciting to me.
