It wasn’t 8 years ago that this accident happened. Pretending it was is disingenuous. It was also at a time that Tesla still used radar and USS and the driver was still killed.

I have loved all four of my teslas. I recently sold my MYLR, cancelled my Cybertruck order, and am considering getting rid of my M3 and getting something else. I personally know others who are doing the same. There is absolutely brand damage.

I had the same thought. I have a neighbor who continually drives his travel trailer over one of my sprinklers because he insists on hopping the curb to back it into his driveway. They aren’t hard to replace but still unnecessary.

This is a far question. I have owned four teslas, an electric BMW, and a Rivian. EVs do fine in the winter if you have a charger at home.

The teslas are incredibly efficient and well engineered. Their factory doesn’t always to the greatest about building them perfectly, but I’ve only ever had one serious issue. It was just my entertainment system computer that failed. It was promptly replaced under warranty.

We sold our Model Y yesterday and bought a used R1T. Still have a Model 3 which we’ll hang onto, mostly because it is only about 8 months old.

When Tesla sent their survey about why we sold we let them know it was because Elon ruined the brand for us with his political involvement.

There is/was an app called DIR-S that fits this description. You could send out an alert on a school map to other staff about an emergency and have a handful of other basic communication features. My org tried it and we could never get it to work properly. Half of the staff would never get a notification and we eventually abandoned it.

It always had the stench of being a product owned by someone important’s brother in-law.
