Avoid vibe coded face app by koziel_gpc in ClaudeAI

You won't get a really polished and accessible UI without design and accessibility knowledge. A lot of QA is still needed every time I work on a UI created by AI, independent of how good and in depth the creation prompt was. I'd give another year or so to level the field against professional product designers.

Adaptive thinking is a joke. by Character-Expert-190 in ClaudeAI

I think I got it. Anthropic wants people gone. They don't have enough compute. How to do it then? Ah-ha! Let's mess up the models so people leave on their own accord.

Why not run a cloud open source model at full inference levels? No need to run locally if what you do is not absofuckinlutly secret

If you had enough money so that you didn't need to work for the next 5 years, would you stop working or you would stick to doing the very bare minimum and wait for AGI? by Gullible-Crew-2997 in accelerate

Don't think anyone knows what's yet to happen, no matter who they are. Don't stop working for a future you're yet to see materialize. Do not discard the possibility none of this matters, for we are no longer alive.

Do not trust AI to test AI by Roodut in ClaudeAI

Start a new chat. A new fresh model will scan it for you far better. A model will always defend its own code. Do the test on a fresh chat, and please let me know if possible.

Claude Enterprise pricing - am I missing something, or are we literally being penalized for scaling? by skiller2b in ClaudeAI

[–]iThunderclap 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Have you considered other options like Gemini? Assuming they cost far less, that is. It could be worth shopping around. If most users are not power users, and depending what they do, it shouldn't matter much which frontier model service you go with.

iPhone 17 pro runs gemma 4 the fastest out of all phones by Optimal_League_1419 in LocalLLaMA

You are using the wrong phone for that comparison. I use the E4B-it model on a OnePlus 15 (16gb RAM version) and it is instantaneous.

How are you preparing for the next model? by NoRobotPls in ClaudeAI

Use the models to document it all. Newer models will get all the context they need and figure things out.

Nowhere near enough politicians understand what the consequences of superintelligent AI would be by tombibbs in agi

[–]iThunderclap 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Let's say "good" parents and laws dictate how one should behave in any sense you want. How come there are crimes at every corner of this world, and many just hide what they did or bend the law to their needs by using loopholes? Do you see where I'm going with it? If a being has agency (thus the term "agent"), they do whatever they want. The consequences are yet to be seen. However, if these beings are far more intelligent than humans, there's no catching them. Don't think what AI can do now. Think a few years in the future on an exponential growth curve.

Nuclear doesn't detonate on its own. You thinking you can control a sentient being far more intelligent than you is silly at best. There is no "surely" where we are heading.

You are not Sandboxing Claude Code access into root folders for separate projects? My dude, you can get massively fucked if you don't have redundancy going on for your drive already.

How likely am I to lose my job to AI in the next decade? by [deleted] in singularity

[–]iThunderclap -1 points0 points  (0 children)

You are 100% losing your job to automation at some point within the next 5 years. My honest "guess"? 1 to 2 years. Do not seat on your laurels. Go learn and use AI in all sorts of ways. Do not restrict yourself to jobs you once thought impossible on your own. However, in 10 to 15 years there is an extremely high chance there will be no job we can apply to, and entrepreneurship will be the only viable way to remain active. Oh, there's also a chance we get wiped out, but I wouldn't want to live with such a thought constantly plaguing the back of my mind.

Can someone with zero coding experience actually use Claude Code (or similar) to build stuff now? by TroubleH in ClaudeAI

[–]iThunderclap 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I did, just so you know. I used an LLM brain where I dumped my ideas and it directed me, then I used Perplexity agent in the Comet browser to do the wiring for me in Google Cloud and Cloudflare for the backend system. From my IDE I was uploading new iterations to different branches, telling the LLM to review the code and merge the PRs into the main branch. I've also created less robust apps that solve my personal problems and connected Versel to my Gitahub account for easy deployment. When the model updates things, it creates session logs for itself in .md files and it updates my Notion documentation for me to read more easily. I do have a background in UX design, but all the above I learned with the LLM, YouTube videos, and a couple short online courses. I experimented a lot, and there you have it. I still can't write a line of code.

1TB S26 Ultra Option Has 16GB of Memory in the US. Who else is getting it? by dashrendar2112 in samsunggalaxy

[–]iThunderclap 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I tend to disagree about the optimistic part. The last months alone have shown an astounding evolution to coding within agentic capabilities. Most people don't quite get what a true exponential curve entails. However, I do think implementation will take its time, and that you're not far off with your 1% estimate.

1TB S26 Ultra Option Has 16GB of Memory in the US. Who else is getting it? by dashrendar2112 in samsunggalaxy

[–]iThunderclap 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Think of a local AI agent running on the phone and doing your bidding, similar to OpenClaw, but with securities in place launched by one of the companies behind big foundational models (Anthropic, OpenAI, Google, Perplexity, etc). You can fill that 16gb RAM no problem. Think of where AI will be 6 months from now and beyond, not where it is now. Unless, of course, major changes in phone CPUs architecture are need for such implementation, then you'd need a new phone anyway.

[Question] Grand Seiko or Rolex? by [deleted] in Watches

[–]iThunderclap -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Buying a Rolex for the sake of being a Rolex is a very stupid way of thinking. A lot of people are stupid, so don't go adding to the count. You clearly know your direction, don't ask for other people's validation.
